Scent Leaf Changes In Dry And Rain Period

There's usually a lot of changes for some crops like scent leaf, and others during the dry and rainy season. Farmers need to understand these changes to help them not to weed them off when this changes may not be going fine.

During the dry season crops like scent leaf, and some others usually doesn't look fine but trust me they'll be fine whenever rain touches them. Dry season should serve as the best period to even allow such crops so that their seed will be very good for next season planting. The advantage of this method is that during the dry season crops like scent leaf usually looks as if they're dead and will not survive anymore but when rain touches them they'll come back to life and will even continue to grow very fresh for harvesting. The seeds which such crops where allowed by a farmer can be harvested and planted why the main mother leaf still continue to grow very fresh because of the rain.

Dry season is usually the best period scent leaf usually produces more of its seeds that can be used for planting. At this period I don't usually weed the scent leaf stems because of the weak look. The dry period will dry away the scent leaf leaves making it look as if it's dead but the seed will only remain. Why the seeds remain throughout the dry season, some may fell under the stems why some will remain firm with the scent leaf stems.

By the time first rain will drop, the scent leaf old seed are expected to be harvested if the farmer wishes to plant in another location. This is because if the first rain will help the mother scent leaf produce new seeds and before they produces the new seeds the old one will have to fall. What I usually do with the first rain for my old scent leaf is to make sure before rain continues I weed away all unwanted plants around the scent leaf environment so that as rain will continue and the old scent leaf seed fell down they can easily germinate without them been affected by weeds.

Because I have weed all the unwanted plants away from the scent leaf I can easily notice when the new germinating scent leaf are shooting out because of th rain that will continue throughout the rainy season.

Another advantage of me weeding unwanted plants away from my scent leaf before the main rainy season is to also help me see the new scent leaf that'll germinate because they usually grow in one area due to the falling of the seeds in one place so I'll have to transplant them either in the same garden or to another location.

Even when the new scent leaf begins to germinate I still don't see any reason to weed the mother leaf because rain will still make the leaf to look fresh which it'll continue to serve for a meal. At least two years is enough to allow the mother scent leaf before I can weed it away and allow the new ones to replace. I believe by that two years, it'll be weak and may not produce large leaves like the new ones.
