Every info is important

Today, I learned the importance of checking before going to the destination for errands.

Yesterday I planned what I should do today. It seems that I have already prepared things for the day. My errands are mostly personal like:

• Coins deposit
• Lunch
• Groceries
• Laundry

I rarely go to the city for these errands so it is scheduled once a week. Depositing coins is really rare, to be honest it's my first time to do it. Last week I asked the bank staff how the deposit process was and he said that I had to go to one of their branches because they said there was only a Coin deposit machine there. That's why I went to that branch today. When I arrived I immediately asked where I could find the coin deposit machine, I was surprised when the staff said they didn't have one. He said that they only have the option to deposit at the counter. The case is that the coins must be arranged every 100 pieces. Their requirement is that it must be arranged properly and the number must be exact. It is also said that different coins cannot be mixed, there must be one type of coin in every 100 pieces.

I was a bit stressed by their requirement. First of all, the coins I brought were not arranged because as far as I know they have a machine to count the coins. Second, the coins I brought are mixed up. If I segregate it, it will take me a long time. I'm really frustrated with what happened and I blame myself because I couldn't figure out if there really was a coin deposit machine. Another thing, I didn't ask how the deposit process is when their machine is not available. I hope if I had known this info I would have been able to prepare properly and not waste my time going to this bank branch.

And since I had no other option, I left to take care of the other things I had to do.

Because of this experience, I learned that I should check carefully before doing an errand that I will do for the first time. And one more thing, I need to improve my communication skills so that I can get the info that I will need for the errand that I will do. It is better that I know all the info before I do an errand so that I can make sure that my time is not wasted and I can make sure that I can accomplish my errand properly.
