That Which Runs Deeper [An Original Poetry]
The great divide, a chasm deep and wide
A rift that separates, a wound that will not heal
One side lush and green, the other dry and brown
A land of plenty, a land of scarcity.
On one side, the haves, with homes and wealth to spare
On the other, the have-nots, struggling just to survive
On one side, the powerful, with voices that are heard
On the other, the marginalized, whose cries fall on deaf ears.
But the divide is not just one of wealth and power
It's also one of race and class, of privilege and oppression
It's a divide that pits us against each other
And leaves us all feeling lost and alone.
But there's hope on the horizon, a light that shines through the dark
A bridge that spans the great divide
A bridge built with love and understanding
A bridge that will bring us all together.
So let us cross the great divide
And build a world where all are equal
Where all have a voice and all are heard
Where all can live in peace and harmony.
