YAM PORIDGE FOR MY MOTHER, ADOORE-EU. ( By @Adoore-eu 's girl)
First I told this girl that I want to make the meal because I am going to post it for creative Sunday. But she said she will make it by herself. After munching mine, I became tired to write the recipe, so I asked her to use my blog to type out what she did in the kitchen.
Please, manage this post, coming from my ten years old girl, Oluchi.
OLUCHI
Hi food lovers my name is Oluchi. You can call me Luchy. I am the daughter of adoore_eu. Today I have the kitchen to myself and I'll be cooking Yam Porridge so join me to cook this sumptuous meal.
So i have all my materials ready which includes: tubers of yam, tomato, onions, smoked fish, pumpkin leaf (Ugwu leaf) ,water.
So i start by pouring my grinded tomato (onions and pepper) into a pot of oil and wait for 2 minutes. After that i add some of my spices which includes: Seasoning cubes, pepper not too much sha, salt, spice-city, ginger and garlic powder, and any others spice you will like to add its up to you.
After that i let it boil for like 5 minutes. Before the span of five minutes i will have finished slicing and washing my yam and after that i add some water into the pot not too much, not too small either.Then in the water i will add the sliced yam and let it cook.
By this time i will start washing and tearing the smoked fish and also the Ugwu leaf also called Pumpkin leaf. So when the yam is almost cooked i added the Pumpkin leaf and the smoked fish and stirred it gently. Then leave it to finish boiling.
After it is done cooking serve and enjoy. BYE BYE.

So this was how this girl made this meal? No wonder the fish was not very soaked into the stew. But trust me the food was delicious. I love it.
Here is a little adjustment if you want to create this
Add the fish immediately you pour the tomatoes and let the flavour infuse into the stew as the tomato cooks.
Cook the tomato longer than the two minutes she said.

Oluchi is a ten year old, she made her first meal when she was nine years. I wanted her to mark her 9yrs with that food so she can always refer to it as the year she started cooking. Since then, she always join me in the kitchen. She comes with paper to write down what I do and today, I let her cook again. Did you enjoy her cooking today? I forgot to snap her today with the food but here she is with her first meal at nine years. 😅😅. My Sabi, Sabi cook.

Haha, thanks so much. She is very inquisitive and enjoys staying in the kitchen while I cook. I hope she gets the magic fingers o because a man who is well fed doesn't look outside. Hahaha. She needs to keep her home with good food along with other virtues 😅
