MAKING JUNE 12 HAIR STYLE FOR KIDS: HIVELEARNERS CREATIVE SUNDAY
Hello Hive, how was your Sunday? Mine was great in the morning but in the afternoon it rained heavily . The rain was so much that my girls couldn't go out to make their hair against tomorrow School.
My children are students of my school. My School gives hair styles every week. Every Friday at the morning assembly, students anticipate the hair style to be announced. They do so because my School takes it very seriously. If a student is caught with a wrong hair style on Monday, she is made to loosen it if she must attend class that day. And when she gets home, she is expected to do the right hair style. For this week starting tomorrow, the students have been asked to make a style called **June 12**
The hair style has a history but we are just going to show you to make it.
It is a simple hair style and so I did not bother to waste money sending them to a stylist near home. Besides, the rain was not friendly.
So, without wasting money, I decided to do it for them. It gives them opportunity to be reading while making the hair. That would not be possible if they patronized Iyanu, the young lady who sometimes make their hair.
So,I decided to make it and use it as my creative Sunday activity.
You can follow the steps and recreate. Men do make hair 😅, So @george-dee, @kenechukwu97, @mcyusuf, @mrenglish , you guys have one or two to learn here together with the ladies. Haha . Let's go.
The style I made for my daughter is called June 12. ( Half up, half down).
It is cut in the middle, the back side is weaved down while the front is made into patewo,(the hands are clapping.😅
**PROCEDURE**
STEP 1. Part the hair into two and apply Shea butter on the line.
I use Shea butter for my girls. It was mixed by hubby with lemon oil and one other essential oil you prevent and cure dandruff.
STEP 2. From the middle, I made a line down and cut a part to weave. I combed it and applied Shea butter
STEP 3. I shared the one to be woven into three and started intertwining them, one into the
middle of another
STEP 4, The process was repeated until the whole back side is weaved.
STEP7: Go to the other half and make a line across it.
STEp 8. Weave both left and right sides up and make them clap
STEP 9: Follow through until all are done from ear to ear.
Now, the back and front are completely done.
Finally, here comes the June 12 style for your watching pleasure.
This is also my minimalistic way of making my girls hair, especially if I am brooke.
Rate me. Do you live near me? What are you waiting for? Bring your kids or you younger siblings already to make theirs with me. Hahaha.
Thanks for stopping by.
This is my participation into @hivelearners creative Sunday. Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks for stopping by. Do have a pleasant night rest.
All images are mine.
Ah! Nah. My hands are to stiff to intertwine strands of hair. 😌
Sunday's been stressful for my butt from sitting hours on one bus to another. It did rain earlier today as well from the look of the muddy road.
Being a creative/skilled is always helpful. The hairstyle is looking good.
'June 12' with its story, might want to hear that sometime.
Hahaha, you should ask politicians or history students about June 12 story na. 😅It's a holiday in some part of Nigeria , everyone knows in whose honor the holiday is. Sorry about the bus stress, hope you arrived home safely?
Yes. I'm home. Thanks.
Sure, I know of something related. Just not a fan of history
Hahaha, alright then. Have a pleasant night rest and wishing you a blessed week ahead. ♥️
Kudos to all the women who take the time to learn plaiting and to act it. You know, not all women can weave or plait hair for others.
June 12 hair style is sacrosanct. It brings to memory how the freest and fairest election in Nigeria was upturned and the hopes of the people dashed.
Well done.
Haha, thanks for the commendation and your remark. I appreciate
