The suspense is very nearly over! After many months, Titans football is about to make it's glorious return. No matter how good or bad the team is I am excited to watch whatever happens next. It's all a journey to the Lombardi no matter how long it takes. Let's hope it's soon. I've written a good amount on the team over the past few months. All the speculation is going to be over soon enough.

The Titans begin their 2024 season on the road in Chicago at Soldier Field to face the Bears.

The Titans will be the first NFL team to see QB Caleb Williams in action. Let's see just how good Caleb really is. The expectations are super high. He's seen by many as the greatest QB prospect since Andrew Luck. We shall see. He looks good but a lot of players look good in college.

The Titans have their own young QB who has some promise. Will Levis enters his second year and this season feels like a more legit chance for Levis to prove he can be a franchise guy. I feel like he's been overlooked and I am unsure why.

These teams actually find themselves in an eerily similar situation in many ways other than quarterback though. Both teams finished with similar records in 2023, the Bears at 7-10 and the Titans at 6-11. Both teams have signed a ton of new players in the offseason. At receiver, the Titans signed Calvin Ridley and Tyler Boyd to join DeAndre Hopkins. The Bears added at receiver themselves, by signing Keenan Allen and drafting Rome Odunze to join D.J. Moore. In general, both teams have a lot of new players.

With it being the first game and all of these new players, it's hard to say how this game plays out. It will suck to have to play long-time Titan safety Kevin Byard.

The Titans have to just prove, everything really. Let's see what this Brian Callahan culture is about. Let's see what these new players are about. During the Mike Vrabel era the vibes were pretty clear. They strived for Patriot-like discipline, and physicality. May not be the most intricate formula but they had their success at times.

That's what is exciting about the new season. The feeling of a fresh new era and just the unknown. I love watching the Titans every year. Always will. I have zero expectations really for 2024/25, just hope they're not awful I suppose.

I mean it's easy to say what I want, I want the Titans to be Champions. On paper they have everything they need. I believe in Levis as a QB, and the new coaching staff seems intelligent and positive. GM Ran Carthon has brought in a lot of good talent and has drafted pretty well. There's a lot to like in Tennessee even though the media may simply play to the numbers, views, and clicks.

Crush the Bears boys, don't let Caleb have a memorable start to his career! Show the league they should remember the TITANS!!!
