Titans lose to the Colts 20-17, drop to 1-4. HIGHLY likely season is OVER.
How I'm feeling as a Titans fan in 2024:
My thoughts on Brian Callahan:
My thoughts on Will Levis:
Holy crap man, the Titans are the worst team in the league right now. It's not even a debate and I think this is a position they'll hold for awhile.
This team is a joke. A monstrosity. This team is so un-serious. Bad football. I struggle to find any redeeming qualities right now.
On the scoreboard, the Titans have had chances in pretty much every game they have been in, but it doesn't feel like they have a chance whatsoever. The team has no fire, none. It's like nobody wants to be here, nobody wants to win. Not a single player has a clutch gene on this team.
I truly question everyone's intelligence in the organization. I question it so much that, I think the team is just tanking without admitting it. This has to be the case.
It's time for a HARD reset really soon or put in Rudolph people.
I don't know I am just ticked. But also starting to accept it for the most part.
I knew this was a scenario for the 2024 Titans, but now that it's a reality it is just brutal. This team is a major candidate for the top pick in the draft. But I am starting to wonder if that even matters because this coaching staff is wicked bad as far as I can tell. Levis sucks but what's even more interesting is that I think Levis is actually slightly worse than he was last year. Admittedly Levis was not too great last year but still.
Levis is now in his second season and pretty much has a full season of games started/played under his belt. The tape ain't looking so hot. The guy is a hybrid Cason Wentz-lite mixed with some JaMarcus Russell at this point. At this point just play him and see what the heck he can possibly do, but his odds at actually being a franchise QB in my opinion are at like five percent at this point and trending down QUICK.
If my hunch about Levis is correct, look, at least we have NOT paid him and his contract was only four years I believe since he was a second rounder.
A monumental season turnaround would be thrilling for sure, but after watching enough of this team and enough football over the years I think the team is trending toward a rebuild. This definitely means attempting at finding a franchise QB and even ANOTHER coaching staff but the coaching might have a slightly longer leash.
There's a lot to say and a lot to blame. But this season is surely just a hunker down and gather intel season. The team is just deeply lost but I hope the team just acknowledges it ASAP and constructs a future friendly plan. Egos out of it start making some hard decisions.
It seems the Titans are in the middle of a dumpster fire but, I guess I am grimly entertained. It's like, what the heck will happen next?? What does the journey to being great look like from here? How long will it take, who knows....
The team has zero identity and things look awful. There's no sugarcoating this. The defense has a shred of skill, the offensive line is improved, the running backs are actually respectable.
It's MAINLY the lack of actual QB play and pass catchers.
Levis is likely not the guy as I've said, but Calvin Ridley is not doing CRAP for us after getting paid, D-Hop is ok-ish, and Tyler Boyd is also a ghost.
QB and WR rooms need a total reconstruction. I'd start there at this point.
This was just a rant but yeah. The game was close but it was close against the Colts who themselves are not exactly elite.
It's hard to imagine things turning around for the Titans. I'm thinking about the draft already.
