What a FEELING! Here's a quick flashback from the last time the Phillies won the NL East. Life was incredibly different then. Maybe the Phillies are about to win five more NL East championships in a row, or more.

Nuts, those were some of the best years ever. What a stacked team that was. 9/17/11. 4,756 days ago. 4,755 days between NL East Championships. 'Someone Like You' by Adele was the top music hit the last time the Phils were NL East champs. Who knew it would take this long, but I'm happy they've finally done it again. Just goes to show you never know when good times will come and go as sports fans, so just enjoy it while it's here.

The Phillies won 6-2 vs the Cubs last night to seal the NL East deal. Aaron Nola got the win in Philadelphia which only feels right. Nola has been on Phillies since 2015 and has never played for a different team. He's signed on to be here through 2030 and so it's highly likely he'll be a Phillie for life. It was great to see him be the starter on the night of this great team achievement. Hopefully this is only the beginning and the Phillies win a World Series this year and he and the team continue to dominate throughout the twenties.

Everyone reached base last night and nearly everyone recorded a hit. Schwarber homered and Realmuto homered.

A really magical night in the City of Brotherly love indeed.

Now it's time to make the season MEGA magical with a World Series!!

The Phillies are currently a half game behind the Dodgers for the top NL East seed. The Dodgers begin a big three game series against the Padres tonight, a game I may actually watch. The Padres somehow have a realistic chance to win the NL West still which seriously surprises me. I have not really even thought of their chances in the division for awhile, but they are right there only three games behind LA.

The Phillies face the Cubs for Game 2 tonight with Tanner Banks on the mound. The Phillies will see the very capable Justin Steele for the Cubs. After watching the Phillies win their division, I am sure the Cubs will be trying pretty hard to inconvenience the Phillies to the best of their ability. Let's hope the Phillies have recovered enough from partying last night to play well today!

It won't be too chilly but not too warm either for tonight's game. Low 60's tonight in Philly. Very overcast too so not a lick of sun. Fall vibes continue to really set in in the area.

GO PHILS, WE'RE TALKING ABOUT THE FIGHTINS'
