Former UFC Champ Michael Bisping sounds more ridiculous every day.

I have respect for Michael Bisping overall, he has some decent undeniable knowledge from his success as a fighter.

But the man has had ice cold take after ice cold take. His analysis is also extremely suspect and his outlook on the sport of MMA seems flawed in my opinion.

His disrespect of grappling and wrestling is extremely clear and obvious and frankly pathetic. Anytime a takedown occurs in a fight he NEVER can just give credit where it's due, it is always, 'But did he do anything with that takedown????'

Did Max Holloway do ANYTHING with his little patty cake strikes against Alexander Volkanovski in THREE fights??

Maybe Bisping's failure as a wrestler makes him extremely insecure and resentful towards grappling. Henderson, Silva, Sonnen, GSP, Rockhold, Kennedy were excellent grapplers that bested Bisping at some point in time.

Perhaps Bisping wishes he joined kickboxing or boxing?

Grappling is a massive part of the sport. The man has to get over it. He actually acts like a crappy leg kick or a cute little jab is BETTER than a freaking takedown.

Takedowns take a lot more skill, and effort than many strikes. Some takedowns do hurt and deal more punishment than some average or weaker strikes. Also, the DANGER and threatening nature of a takedown far outweighs a jab, or pathetic leg kick. Seems like Bisping refuses to take accountability for his own short comings as a fighter and wants to make MMA kickboxing LOL. Incredible.

If striking was so important and so much utterly superior to striking, Sonnen vs Silva would never have happened, even Adesanya and DDP may not have happened. Adesanya was doing slightly better in the striking battle in that fight, but it did not matter in the end.

Even if an early takedown does not lead to much successful takedowns change dynamics of a fight and can lead to better takedowns later possibly when the opponent is tired. Takedowns and takedown attempts can absolutely be a long term strategy similar to strikers landing consistent body shots. Over time, these actions become more devastating.

This is basic crap, and Bisping seems like he's stuck in MMA elementary.

Recently Bisping's hatred toward Jake Paul has also been hilarious and unhinged. Claiming it's stupid for Jake to fight Tyson.

MAYBE it's dumb for Paul to fight Tyson, sure. But man, if Tyson wins or competes wayyy better than people think, what will they say? Is Jake still stupid or....?

Sounds like Bisping wants to fight Jake himself, which would be odd to me. Bisping is not Tyson old, but he is a lot older than Jake. I mean, the points that can be made there are obvious and numerous....

I think Bisping is still mad that Jake beat Silva LOL.

I overall have been a fan of what Jake is doing. Jake is simply pointing out some fundamental beliefs in a lot of avenues of life.

A lot of people claim to be experts on a lot of things in life. Sports, politics, science, money the list goes on. Many things in life are about PERCEPTION and CONNECTIONS. Time and money and opportunity.

I love sports and always will, but athletes can be big egomaniacs. How dare Jake just come out of nowhere and do fairly well!!!!

Jake can literally fight who he wants and progress, or not progress, at the rate he wants. Jake has money, fame, and an undeniable decent level of skill as an athlete.

I'll admit it would be nice and VERY interesting to see Jake fight more youthful legit boxers but, I am thoroughly enjoying watch Jake annoy people. Jake is actually a genius in his own way. I'm not sure if Jake has had a master plan here but man, this is entertaining.

Honestly Jake is simply exposing that sports and a lot of things in life, are not AS difficult as people make them out to be. There are surely elite people in any industry. But it is not as hard to reach a respectable skill level in practically anything.
