76ers defeat the Trail Blazers 125-103 Monday! | Set to face the Sacramento Kings tonight
The good times keep rolling for the Sixers! They have looked like a whole new team! It's so FUN watching them play lately. Once AGAIN Embiid and Maxey combined for sixty points. Guerschon Yabusele was red hot in the first half when he scored fifteen! Kelly Oubre Jr. is becoming one of my favorite Sixers, he recorded an absurd EIGHT steals. The Sixers definitely ended 2024 strong.

The Sixers have now won ten of their last thirteen games, including four straight. They have not suffered consecutive losses since their November 24th and November 27th outings. I mean things are HAPPENING.
But as I pointed out the other day, the games are going to keep coming. In fact, tonight is the first of a back to back as tomorrow they're set to face the Warriors. It's SUPER unlikely that Embiid will be playing any back to backs ever again. It will be big for the Sixers to try and win even when Embiid is not on the court. I think there's hope though, while Embiid's been much more available recently, he has not been around during the entire hot streak.
The record may not indicate it presently but, the 14-19 Kings are absolutely a valid squad that should be taken seriously. Their starting lineup is quite strong featuring Domantas Sabonis, DeMar DeRozan, De'Aaron Fox, and Malik Monk. The Sixers may be hot, but every team is on their own path and trying to get better. The Kings are a solid team, it will take a serious effort to start the New Year strong out in The Big Tomato.
Looking forward to starting the year watching the Sixers!
