Visiting the six-thousand-year-old Bam citadel in the city of Bam
Hello friends, during our trip, we also went to Bam city to see the Bam Citadel closely
The Bam citadel is the largest historical adobe structure in the world, which is located in the city of Bam in the province of Kerman in the southeast of Iran.
From the 7th to the 11th century, the old citadel of Bam became important as a crossroads along the Silk Road and other important trade routes and as a producer of silk and cotton clothes. The whole building was a big fortress that housed the citadel
It was hot there, but I tried my best to take pictures
Watching this citadel and I must say the beautiful city was very interesting
Of course, it is under restoration and its beautiful appearance has been reduced, because in my opinion, restoration changes the effect of the work.
In general, I think it was very interesting and beautiful and full of different corridors and alleys.
The interesting and ancient history of Bam Citadel
Walking there made me feel good and I could see myself walking in those streets six thousand years ago.
The first signs of the formation of the Bam citadel go back to the Achaemenid period. But its development took place over several hundred years,
and the most important eras of its expansion go back to the Parthian, Sajluq, and Timurid periods.
Some architectural elements used in Bam Citadel, such as the combination of building features and the natural environment of the hill on which it is located, are very similar to Persepolis.
