"First Demonstration-August Journey "

My August as a PST is so eventful. I still accompany them to the clinic. The classroom is still messy they still have to do better in that area since they will be staying in the classroom most of the time.

During one of their class with my Shai, they went to the library. They utilized books for their activity. They have many choices, but because of that, some books were disarrange, so after they finished using it, we put it back in its original place.

There were many times that I got to write on their lessons of assignment on the board. And they don’t hesitate to ask you if they have some clarifications regarding the lesson. I am very welcome to answer their querries.

During this month also I had my demonstration teaching with them. I really prepared for it. My subject is Science. At first, I was hesitant if I could pull it off because that’s their last subject, so they don’t have the energy to participate in my class anymore. Because of what I’ve observed during their last subject, some of them were sleepy or excited to home. In fact, some students that are near to my table ask for the time, and if it’s 4 already, they will interrupt maam Jen eventhough her class is still not finished.

But that’s not what happened during my demonstration teaching.. I make sure that I deliver my lesson very engaging and energetic so that they will not get bored I’m so happy because it turned out well. they are so participative during my class. I make sure that my questions are very relatable to them, and after they know that I prepared some stickers to whoever answers, they are eager to answer all of my questions. In a sense they will come to you or in front to answer, so I have to be firm in my classroom discipline. During the transfer of learning, I’m very surprised by their creativity. I must say that I’m very fulfilled during my demonstration teaching.

On August 19, the elementary department celebrated the Feast of St. Ezekiel Moreno. There were games and snacks that were shared with the class. They sang also the Hymn of St. Ezekiel Moreno. I have been able to practice grade 5 singing that because ma'am Jen had to go home early because of his stepfathers birthday. During our practice with grade 5, it was so chaotic, but I was able yo handle it, and they were able to know the song of familiarize it.

On the latter days of our duty, Dr. Tabal asked me and Ms. Mosquera to have a one on one talked with the 3rd year BEED students regarding their lesson plan. Since their demo is fast approaching and they still have a lot to change in their lesson plan. I’m so honored that I am able to impart my knowledge in making lesson plans since it is essential for being a great teacher in the future.

My last day of duty in Grade 5 St. Raphael was During the culmination of Buwan ng Wika. There are many contests prepared by the school. One of it is the spoken poetry. I’m very honored because during the Gizmoz orientation, Ma’am Jen asked me to practice Val and Princess for their piece. Our practice is very producative since they will present it tomorrow. So during the culmination eventhough though I’m not the one on stage I’m very nervous for them. But thanks God, they did well, and they are hailed as champion, I’m very proud of them.

I’m very thankful to Ma’am Jen for all the encouragement and lesson that she has taught me in that short period of time. I gained a lot of experience being with her and the Grade 5 St. Raphael learners that I will never forget. I couldn't explain how I felt as I was saying goodbye to them. I almost shed tears, but I managed to be composed because they are crying already if I will cry too, they will not stop crying. We expressed our love, and they thanked me for being supportive and great pst to them. I said to them that it’s definitely not a goodbye it’s just to see you around.
