I don't really think of titles while I'm working and the naming sense if probably the most underutilized creative muscle I got. And I have a lot.
For this piece, I embedded the link to the youtube video featuring Anthony Jones's talk about Illustrating Horror Creatures. I wanted to capture the textures from the brushes he used but only substituted it for whatever default options available on iArtbook in apple. There's a saying that only amateurs blame their tools and I do believe that it's a skill issue.
Having some room for self burn - I need to stop being cheap at the lighting and focus more on contrast. I did pick up some confidence in using overlay blending modes and masking in layers from this exercise.
The god bounded by rules in the form of a spider god. That's my self prompt for this work.
The video guide I based this inspiration from:
The QR code I use as a watermark leads to my @artofadamada account on Hive as a landing page whenever I share my work across other social media. I doubt I'd get a significant reach as I am now but if I can get more people curious about where that QR code leads, hopefully it converts to more sign ups on the platform.

Looks like a great idea for a boss battle.
This is an easy boss than sorting through taxes.

ohhhh it's a horror creatureeeeee 💕💕 this one is nice OwO
i would suggest a highlight layer after the overlay if your overlay isn't textured. the slight light contrast would look really good in giving this a vibe that it was in hiding
I'm experimenting with overlay. I tend to have a habit of just doing everything in one layer so that's a territory I'm crawling for. Thank you.
ohh we have the same habit 🤣 cuz i like to keep the color scheme i started on. then I'd just airbrush the highlights on either a fine brush point or scatter it. that's also a way to maintain a single layer if you're not fully comfortable in switching layers
gqling galing tlga oi. noticed you again, senpai
I like this!
Well you got the horrific down pat😂😂
It lacks the mandibles of a spider though.
If a human loses an arm, does that make them no longer human?
Touché...
Whoa super scary 😮
