Testing more ways to add more visual effects on top of my default art style. I've been having some slight improvements in my exposure outside Hive from the rise in average impressions on twitter, threads, and deviantart. That's progress in small increments.

I see a lot of artists on social media complaining how the algorithm is a pain and that their reach has diminished. I think some of those concerns are valid but some are just from entitled artists that are just starting out and don't have the skill or willingness to put in the work in self marketing.

It can be a downer to compare your works to better artists out there and there are no shortage of them but that's just how it is. I've been doing art for a hobby for years but I don't have the mindset to really grind that it puts food on the table unlike how other artists do. There's also that internal drive to know what exactly one wants to accomplish, are they just doing it for a hobby or are they serious about making a living out of it?

I think I'm more suited to draw horror because I'm just good at creepy stuff even if it's not an area I like to get good at.
