COOKING IS A SKILL, NOT EVERYONE HAS IT

Yes, we are back again. And I am happy to have you back. Welcome to my blog.

As a young girl before I got married, I have been cooking for only myself, because I lived alone since I was eighteen. My parents lived far away from me. From there I graduated to cooking for two people when I got married, then four up to six people when we had our younger ones living with us. But I have never thought of cooking for about hundred or even two hundred people at once untill recently.

We went for a program that many people were in attendance. After registration, we were all taking to the place were we kept our bags and came back for the program. But as we were relaxing waiting for the commencement of the program, someone called and said that my attention was needed in the kitchen. I thought that someone brought food for me to eat 😄😄 so, I immediately Left for the kitchen with joy.

When I got there, the woman in charge of the kitchen, pleaded with me to assist with the cooking because according to her the people that were asked to cook the food didn't turn up as expected. I thought that is a small thing oh. Until when I got into the kitchen proper that understood what I was called to do.

The kitchen was filled with big pots already placed on top of the 🔥 fire. When I first saw it, I was scared, but on a second thought, I said to myself, this could be opportunity for me to learn. So I made up my mind that I was going to learn with these great women in the kitchen. I joined them, though it was not easy for me, because it was my first time cooking with such big pots and having fire surrounding the pots that will not hesitate to burn the hands if mistakenly touched. I got some minor burnt in my hands because I was not used to it, but at least, I learnt, and I can now Cook for more than hundred people at once.

After that experience, I started developing interested in cooking food for occasion, I am also given it a second thought whether to make it a business. One don't really know when God is leading you into something that will help you in the future. I'm no longer scared of cooking food with big pots, but I enjoy doing it.

It is actually an experience for me and it has given me cause to love it.
