Happiness: Money Can't Buy Happiness, But You Need Money To Make Yourself Happy

Though few of us appear to believe it, everyone is aware of the proverb "money can't buy happiness." Many people are extraordinarily wealthy yet are completely unhappy, proving that having money does not automatically guarantee happiness.

It's a common belief that having money and being happy are two concepts that go hand in hand. Many people think that their level of happiness will increase as their income does. The topic of whether money can purchase happiness, however, is not a straightforward one because of the complicated relationship between wealth and happiness.

On the one hand, there is some evidence to support the idea that happiness can rise with wealth. According to research, those with higher incomes typically express higher levels of life satisfaction and emotional well-being. This might be the case because better financial security, as well as more chances for enjoyable experiences and material things, come with increased income.

For instance, the people of Nigeria (a nation in West Africa) have been experiencing hardship for the previous two weeks.
Three currency denominations underwent a redesign by the central bank. The deadline to convert your old currency to new currency was January 31st, however, due to the country's large population, the new naira note was not yet in circulation.

We were forced to use the cashless policy as a result, but it is currently challenging because some traders are used to the cash policy. This caused a lot of drama.
People were not happy in the nation as a result of this. Many people are experiencing frustration. Some went to the bank and took their clothes off to get their money.

Due to the lack of new naira notes and the scarcity of existing ones throughout the nation, many individuals were stranded and went without food for several days.
The wealthy, however, were unaffected because they had already withdrawn a large sum of money from their banks before the deadline.

In this case, I believe that some people are deprived of their happiness by money. Some people will be sobbing and asking for help as they walk through the streets.
If people do not have money to cater for their needs, they will be unhappy and frustrated.

Now, I'm not claiming that having money will fix all of your problems, but every issue that money can resolve ceases to exist once you have money.
I could remember late last year when my brother was diagnosed with abdominal disturbance. He has spent some money before he notified the family that he was down with an ailment.

As soon as we arrived, we realized it was a serious situation, and the doctor informed us that surgery would be performed the following day. Because he had spent a lot of money on his sick bed and couldn't afford the surgery, my brother's mood changed.

But we assured him that we would raise the necessary monies among us, so he need not worry. His attitude changed when he heard this, and I could see he was overjoyed.

Later that day, when the doctor arrived to examine him, his blood pressure had decreased and he was doing better than before.
In this situation, money changed its mood. He was extremely happy. Some patients have been there for a few days before my brother arrived. They were having the same diagnosis, but due to lack of money, they couldn't carry out their surgery.
They thereby experience high blood pressure and their conditions get worse.

Whenever I'm out of cash, I don't feel comfortable. I will be unhappy, I will quickly think of possible ways to find the money before the day runs out. I always think, if there is any emergency. It would be challenging to help yourself in that situation if you don't have money.

But if I cash out a huge amount of money. I will be extraordinarily happy throughout that day, I might even find it difficult to eat because happiness has filled my heart.

Additionally, having money might provide us with a sense of security and a sense of peace. We are less likely to experience stress and worry about our financial condition when we have enough money to pay for our expenses and invest in the future. Overall happiness and a stronger sense of well-being can result from this.

When you have money, you can purchase the items that will bring you happiness. Some people enjoy video games, and some luxuries, gold and silver. Some people enjoy taking international trips.
You may purchase all of these things with money, which will ultimately lead to happiness.

Although having money can contribute to happiness, it is not the only or even the most important aspect. A fulfilling lifestyle also requires other components including strong social ties, personal development, etc.

Even while it's true that money can't buy happiness for us, it can still be a useful tool in our quest for happiness. It is critical to have enough money to meet our fundamental necessities and to have some extra cash available to explore our passions. To enhance our happiness and well-being, we must have a positive relationship with money and manage our resources well.

In conclusion, It's important to remember that happiness can be negatively impacted by the desire for wealth. Placing a higher priority on money and material goods than other goals typically have lower levels of life satisfaction as well as higher levels of stress and worry. In some cases, relationships, health, and other crucial aspects of life, such as personal fulfilment, might be sacrificed in the quest for wealth.

It's also important to keep in mind that genuine happiness comes from within and is not dependent on outside elements like wealth. Long-term happiness and well-being can be attained by developing good relationships, cultivating the act of gratitude, and being grateful in any situation you find yourself in and partaking in important activities.

I can relate to this, and one of my fear is not having money... dang imagine not being able to eat what we use to eat, trekking to where we normally board a vehicle to.. Seeing something you like and not be able to purchase , i used to have money won't be our portion, our pocket and account will keep flowing with money because a life without money will make one depressed....

That is a beautiful one, my friend. Though money brings happiness because it can solve some issues you are going through at that moment but there are some stages you won´t be able to use the money to get what you want, which then leaves us in a state of unhappiness. Money is just a tool to get what you want that could make you happy at that time because after a limited period of time, you start shifting your goal to something else and your desire to want other things start generating. If you limit your happiness to material things, e.g money or wealth, it is temporary but when you actually find happiness within, it´s a lifelong experience for you. Being happy in gratitude, doing what you love, and developing good relationships are what make an individual happy for a long time.

You are very right dear, money can solve the problem temporarily. We shouldn't focus all our happiness on money. Thank you for stopping by dear
