Jealousy: It's Dangerous For Your Mental Health, Get Rid Of It.
If someone has something that you don't, you may feel jealous, which is a feeling or state of resentment, anger, or hatred against them.
When someone has succeeded in a way you want to but haven't been able to, it might make you feel jealous.
Everyone eventually encounters jealousy because it is a normal feeling. Numerous factors, including, friendships, the workplace, relationships and even monetary belongings, might set it off. Jealousy may, however, easily become out of hand if it isn't controlled, which can have detrimental effects including emotional distress, sadness, and relationship issues.
If you feel that another person's success or fortune came to them too effortlessly, this could be the source of your discomfort and jealousy.
Especially when a young person gets a promotion in a firm.
This will create jealousy among his or her co-workers
Reminisce about the time I spent working for a construction company in 2017 and how I met senior colleagues with extensive expertise. But they had no experience with the software. Because of my software expertise, I was hired.
They didn't think I could use AutoCAD to its full potential when I first started working there.
Although my immediate supervisor was aware of the basics of AutoCAD, he was unable to use it for design. AutoCAD is necessary for the project at hand at that moment. I was able to persuade them that I am qualified for the job because they require an AutoCAD specialist. They maintained their composure as I displayed samples of my previous work, which I had produced.
I was able to carry out the first project successfully, and the CEO of the company was delighted. He gave me accolades, and the senior colleague thereby carried out the design on the project site. But some of my senior colleagues were not happy about this. They were jealous.
The company was able to win another project in a short period. I designed the project with AutoCAD as well. The setting out at the site was difficult to carry out. I was told to
Carry out the setting out at the site.
I was so scared when I got this news, but I summoned the courage that God will help me.
When I got home that day, I studied the drawing overnight and I wrote some tips that I could use to carry out the setting out.
The following day, I arrived at the project site and began setting up, but sadly, things didn't go as planned. Out of the five suggestions I jotted down overnight, I attempted four of them, but they didn't work.
My instinct urged me to employ the last tips I had written overnight just as I was about to give up. Luckily for me, it worked, and I was overjoyed.
The artisans were happy, they shouted. The news got to the CEO of the firm and he was happy and he offered me a promotion.
When I was promoted, my co-workers were not happy, some had been in the company for over three years and I was promoted to their level. Although everyone will have their site project. But some of them feel I should pass a long way before I can reach that level.
This caused my co-workers to be jealous of me, and two of them challenged me that I shouldn't be too happy because I'm getting rewards I should wait for three years to attain.
I didn't argue with them, I just focused on my work.
But I realised they started giving bad impressions about me to the management.
When I realize I can't handle the rate of pressure and jealousy, it turns into a severe situation. I resigned and started job hunting. I got hired by a large firm that was superior to my previous employer after a few months.
The new company's engineers were delighted to connect with me because they all have access to AutoCAD for design.
They were eager to learn from me when I informed them of my skills. They also showed me a lot of new things. Everyone was eager to pick up knowledge from one another. Contrary to the former firm, where most employees were jealous of one another.
Tips To Overcome Jealousy
Be Grateful And Positive
Concentrating on thankfulness and optimism might assist in changing your viewpoint and enhancing your general mood. Spend some time every day thinking about the blessings you have.
However, it's crucial to keep in mind that you are exceptional and have special talents that others might not possess.
Identify The Source Of Your Jealousy
As soon as you acknowledge that you have a jealousy problem, you can look into the source of the issue.
You may also suffer from deep-seated fears that make you believe that if other people succeed, it proves that you aren't as good as them or that your chances of succeeding are limited. You can tackle the negative mindset once you know the source of your jealousy.
Be Compassionate To Yourself
Jealousy frequently arises from our worries and insecurities. Practising self-compassion can lessen unpleasant feelings and stop them from getting worse.
Set Limits For Yourself
If someone or something is causing jealousy to become a persistent issue, it may be necessary to set boundaries to protect yourself.
This can entail cutting off communication with them or stepping away from aggravating situations like social media.
In conclusion, it's important to get rid of jealousy because it can have a serious effect on our mental health. Jealousy has the potential to trigger unpleasant feelings including anxiety, resentment, sadness, and depression. Physical symptoms including pains, stomach pains, and tiredness can also result from these feelings.
Thank You All For Reading
You're absolutely right about it... Most people appreciate the jealous type of person. Not knowing, not aware than that behaviour is toxic, dangerous, and possessive. Loved every aspect of your post, @actordontee
Thank you so much, bro. I appreciate your kind words. You are amazing!!!
No, I'm not. I just agree with your point of view, mate!
Lol, I understand.
Lol, I understand
Hello @actordontee . Many times some people do not want to get out of their comfort zone or prepare themselves and when someone better prepared comes along they think they deserve the best for them, simply because they have I don't know how many years in the company and end up being parasites. I congratulate you for having made the decision to emigrate and not wear yourself out in things that are not worth it. Those people will continue to be like that because that is their essence. God opened the doors so that your wishes could be fulfilled. I wish you the best of success.

Thank you so much for this great response.
You have made some valid points here and I'm super excited.
Jealous people will always stay behind in life, I think that's the rule of life.

Well said. Jealousy is a force embodying resentment. Thanks for sharing #hugs
Thank you for the kind words. Your comment is well-appreciated #Big hugs#
If it's me when I see others doing better than me in one job or something we are both doing. The best I will do is to check myself out and see what the other person is doing that I am not doing. Then I will use that to work on myself rather to be pained and being jealous.
This is great energy and you will see that you will always get rid of envy and you will always be ahead.
