Creí que esta semana felina seria sin mayor novedad, más que el hecho de extrañar a Manchita, de hecho tome algunas fotografías del traidor de Señor Gato durmiendo feliz junto a mi esposo, pero el miércoles comenzó un nuevo viacrucis con Metra.

El miércoles él vino a comer como todas las mañanas antes de las 5:40 am, suele estar allí esperando tras mi puerta, pero casi a medio día aprecio de nuevo en la escalera y note que su cabeza u oreja estaban sangrando mucho, ya una vecina me había mencionado el lunes que lo había visto sangrar.

Me acerqué para intentar agarrarlo y llevarlo al veterinario, pero este gatito ha mostrado desde siempre tener un temperamento terrible, decidí darle espacio y tal vez encerarlo en un transportín cuando volviera en la noche, ya que en la fotografía se veía que era muy probable que tuviera gusanos.

Después de ese momento, Metra no aprecio más, hasta ayer en la madrugada que una vecina lo encontró gracias a que él, al verla pasar, maulló, esta vez aunque de mal humor estaba tan débil que le pude meter en el transportín sin mayor problema.

Ayer en la mañana lo llevé al veterinario y lo deje para que pudieran hacer su trabajo, al retirarlo al medio día el veterinario me dijo dos cosas, una que le habían sacado muchos gusanos, de hecho comparo la cantidad de gusanos con el equivalente a una taza de café grande y segundo que tuvieron que anestesiarlo para poder lidiar con él, la verdad no me sorprendió mucho esto último porque sé que Metra en buen estado es de armas tomar, imagínense con una gusanera.

Me dio mucho dolor ver otra vez a Metra adolorido, con muy mal olor por la carne descompuesta y triste, yo no he adoptado a este gato, al que le han pasado tantas cosas, porque tiene terrible temperamento y no se lleva con ninguno de mis gatos, en pocas palabras él es un gato para estar solo y así cojo y sin una oreja, solo a una persona que ame mucho a los gatos lo adoptaría, las personas suelen buscar gatos lindos y si es posible de raza o que parezcan, para adoptar.

Por otro lado, este gato tardo mucho en reaccionar de la anestesia, caminaba como un borrachito y hasta se tiraba en el suelo, solo tomo agua y esta mañana fue que comió un poquito, está muy delgado, le coloque el collar isabelino, para impedir se haga daño buscando limpiar su herida, además él desea que yo lo acompañe si sale del transportín de resto el mismo busca meterse allí, pues sabe está vulnerable.

En resumen, serán unos cuantos días llevando a este gato para curas e inyectándole tratamiento, pero lo único que yo deseo es verlo restablecido, feliz y de ser posible que consiga un hogar en el que lo amen.

I thought this feline week would be uneventful, more than the fact of missing Manchita, in fact I took some pictures of the traitor of Señor Gato sleeping happily next to my husband, but Wednesday began a new ordeal with Metra.

On Wednesday he came to lunch as he does every morning before 5:40 am, he is usually there waiting behind my door, but almost at noon he appeared again on the stairs and I noticed that his head or ear was bleeding a lot, a neighbor had already mentioned to me on Monday that she had seen him bleeding.

I went over to try to grab him and take him to the vet, but this kitty has always shown to have a terrible temperament, I decided to give him space and maybe wax him in a carrier when I returned in the evening, as the picture showed that he was very likely to have worms.

After that moment, Metra didn't appreciate any more, until yesterday morning when a neighbor found him because he meowed when he saw her passing by, this time although he was in a bad mood, he was so weak that I could put him in the carrier without any problem.

Yesterday morning I took him to the vet and left him so they could do their work, when I took him back at noon the vet told me two things, one that they had taken out many worms, in fact he compared the amount of worms with the equivalent of a big cup of coffee and second that they had to anesthetize him to be able to deal with him, the truth was not very surprised by the latter because I know that Metra in good condition is very tough, imagine him with a worm infestation.

It gave me a lot of pain to see Metra in pain again, with a very bad smell because of the decomposed meat and sad, I have not adopted this cat, to which so many things have happened to him, because he has a terrible temperament and does not get along with any of my cats, in a few words he is a cat to be alone and so lame and without an ear, only a person who loves cats very much would adopt him, people usually look for cute cats and if possible of breed or that look like, to adopt.

On the other hand, this cat took a long time to react from the anesthesia, he walked like a drunkard and even threw himself on the floor, he only drank water and this morning he ate a little bit, he is very thin, I put him the Elizabethan collar, to prevent him from hurting himself trying to clean his wound, he also wants me to accompany him if he leaves the carrier, otherwise he wants to get in there, because he knows he is vulnerable.

In short, it will be a few days taking this cat for cures and injecting treatment, but the only thing I want is to see him restored, happy and if possible to get a home where they love him.
