Message to the youth
If I could leave some words or message to the youth of today I would focus on encouraging them to change the empty way in which they see life today, it is disturbing to see how they focus on things, absurd or empty as social networks, clothes and objects believing that this gives them some meaning to their lives.
A few months ago I learned about the existence of the 2016 New Generation Monument, a work by Anna Uddnberg, I was impressed by how much reality this monument shows where we can see a young girl striving to take a picture of her butt using a selfie stick.
Si pudiera dejarle algunas palabras o mensaje a la juventud de hoy me centraría en animarlos a cambiar la forma tan vacía en la que ven la vida actualmente, es preocupante ver como se centran en cosas, absurdas o vacías como las redes sociales, ropa y objetos creyendo que ello les da algún sentido a sus vidas.
Hace unos meses supe de la existencia del Monumento a la Nueva Generación de 2016, una obra de Anna Uddnberg, quedé impresionada por cuanta realidad muestra este monumento donde podemos ver una joven esforzándose por tomarse una fotografía de su trasero usando un palo de selfie.
Clearly, this monument is an expression of the emptiness of today's youth, it is disturbing to see the vast majority of young people aspiring to be influencers, but empty, not someone who really make a difference to inspire something bigger, better, to an important cause, I have heard a thousand young people want to be youtuber or tiktoker, this is not entirely wrong, it is only because they see it as a fashion or a way to earn easy money, plus for them that will guarantee them to be famous and admired, the important thing is the likes, the views.
On the other hand, there are the current trends of aesthetic and coquette, it is fine to want to look good or be coquettish, appearance is important, but it is not everything, but if you analyze these trends in depth it is something so empty and superfluous that it is something that borders on the silly, because currently they do not care about nourishing the brain and intellect, which in the end is what accompanies us when beauty and youth end.
Claramente, este monumento es una expresión a lo vacío de la actual juventud, es preocupante ver a la gran mayoría de los jóvenes aspirando ser influencer, pero vacíos, no alguien que de verdad marque la diferencia para inspirar a algo más grande, mejor, a una causa importante, he escuchado a mil jóvenes desear ser youtuber o tiktoker, esto no está del todo mal, es solo porque lo ven como una moda o la manera para ganar dinero fácil, además de que para ellos eso les garantizara ser famosos y admirados, lo importante son los likes, las vistas.
Por otro lado, están las actuales tenencias de aesthetic y coquette, está bien querer verse bien o ser coqueta, es importante la apariencia, pero no lo es todo, pero si se analizan estas tendencias a fondo se trata de algo tan vacío y superfluo que es algo que raya en lo tonto, pues actualmente no se preocupan por nutrir el cerebro el intelecto, que al final es lo que nos acompaña cuando la belleza y la juventud terminan.

Now, having said all this, my message to today's youth would be, fight every day to learn something new, all knowledge enriches us, yes, verify from whom or where they take that knowledge, because on the internet we can find a lot of enriching and accurate material, but there is also the garbage and what is not real.
Also, focus on being original, on not following the crowd, remember the salmon, he fights against the current, even against all odds, even if they call you silly, out of fashion or say you are weird, strange or nerds, be true to what you believe and above all to yourself.
Ahora bien, después de dicho todo esto, mi mensaje a la juventud actual seria, luchen cada día por aprender algo nuevo, todo conocimiento nos enriquece, eso sí, verifiquen de quién o de donde toman ese conocimiento, ya que en internet podemos encontrar mucho material enriquecedor y certero, pero también está la basura y lo que no es real.
Además, céntrese en ser originales, en no seguir al montón, recuerden al salmón, él lucha contra la corriente, aun en contra de todo pronóstico, así les tilden o digan de tontos, de estar fuera de moda o digan que son raros, extraños o nerds, sé fiel a lo que crees y sobre todo a ti mismo.
Also, get away from the cell phone for a few hours and get closer to your family and friends, when they are gone you will miss them and wish you had spent more time with them. Surround yourself with sincere people, true friends, not people who have an unhealthy competition for having the most expensive things, be more empathetic with those around you, you do not know what situations they may be living, that other person who seems strange to you, maybe his life is hell, do not throw more fuel on the fire.
Likewise, learn to take responsibility for your actions, this is the first big step towards maturity, assume our successes and failures and not transfer the responsibility to someone else, for comfort or fear. Listen to the advice and advice of your parents and family, only they will be with you when everyone else is away, they love you and that is why many times they tell you what you do not want or do not like to hear.
También, aléjate unas horas del celular y acércate más a tu familia y amigos, cuando ya no estén los extrañarás y desearás haber dedicado más tiempo ellos. Rodéate de gente sincera, de verdaderos amigos, no de gente que tenga una competencia mal sana por tener las cosas más caras, sé más empático con quienes te rodean, no sabes que situaciones pueden estar viviendo, ese otro que te parece raro o extraño, tal vez su vida sea un infierno, no le lances más leña al fuego.
Así mismo, aprende a asumir la responsabilidad de tus actos, este es el primer gran paso hacia la madurez, asumir nuestros aciertos y desaciertos y no trasferir la responsabilidad a alguien más, por comodidad o temor. Escucha las pablarás y concejos de tus padres y familiares, solo ellos estarán contigo cuando todos los demás se alejen, ellos te aman y por eso muchas veces te dicen lo que no deseas o no te gusta oír.
In closing, these would be my words for the current generation of young people, including my 21 year old son, I had days thinking about how the vast majority of young people worry about nonsense and drown in a glass of water to any comment that gives them in the ego, I think that everything that happens to us must learn and become stronger, plus there is never someone who tells us something unpleasant, so forward against all odds, I say goodbye leaving here these lines that are my participation in the Community Contest Ladies of the Hive #171.
Terminando, estas serían mis palabras para la actual generación de jóvenes, entre ellos mi hijo de 21 años, tenía días pensando en como la gran mayoría de jóvenes se preocupan por tonterías y se ahogan en un vaso de agua ante cualquier comentario que les dé en el ego, creo que de todo lo que nos ocurre hay que aprender y fortalecerse, además de que nunca falta alguien que nos diga algo desagradable, así que adelante contra todo pronóstico, me despido dejando por acá estas líneas que son mi participación en el Concurso Comunitario Damas de la Colmena #171.

Así es ese, siempre ha sido la labor de padres y maestros, pero actualmente es un problema con padres tan permisivos y en las escuelas le han quitado parte de su rol a maestros y profesores, sin olvidar que estamos ante la generación de Cristal.
Muy cierto, y lamentable, pues los padres lejos de echar un regaño al niño por algo que haya hecho incorrectamente en la escuela, van a enfrentarse con el maestro o profesor. No sé si esto solo ocurre aquí. Saludos
