Goodbye to weeds/ Adiós a la mala hierba

After so many days of rain it has been difficult to work in the garden, I have dedicated myself a little more to the indoor plants, but I will tell you about them in another publication, the rains as it is known make the soil green and in some cases the weeds grow a lot, it is nice to see everything green, but you do not get how to control that growth a little.

What worried me most about the weed growth was that it would choke or affect other plants such as Coleus or Cretonas, because even though they love to have enough watering if their roots remain too wet they can become dormant and stop producing good sized leaves and in the worst case they rot and die.

At the same time, I could not appreciate if the last ones, Lengua de Suegra or Sansevieria were already bringing new children and not to mention some of the aloe or Aloe, because they were barely visible, but between work and problems with my blood pressure I had not been able to dedicate time to remove the grass, I just removed something from around some plants, but I could appreciate how they looked.

To my surprise, a neighbor hired a worker on Monday of this week who removed all the grass and also some other plants that should not have been there, like two of the lilies that I had planted, but if the bulbs were left in the ground there will be no major problem, but that will only be known in a few months.

But it is nice to see how the plants I planted and cared for during the drought look. You can see that they have grown, only one died and the ones in temporary pots are being attacked by leaf cutters, I think I will have to move them soon.

Tras tantos días de lluvia ha sido difícil realizar labores en el jardín me he dedicado un poco más a las plantas de interiores, pero de ellas les contaré en otra publicación, las lluvias como se sabe hacen reverdecer la tierra y en algunos casos el que crezca mucho la mala hierba, es lindo ver todo verde, pero no consigues como controlar ese crecimiento un poco.

Lo que más me preocupaba del crecimiento de la mala hierba, era el que ahogara o afectara a otras plantas como las Coleus o Cretonas, ya que ellas aunque aman tener la cantidad suficiente de riego si sus raíces permanecen muy húmedas se pueden digamos que pasmar y dejan de producir hojas de buen tamaño y en el peor de los casos se pudren y mueren.

Al mismo tiempo, no podía apreciar si las últimas, Lengua de Suegra o Sansevieria ya traían nuevos hijos y ni hablar de algunas de las sábilas o Aloe, pues apenas se veían, pero entre trabajo y problemas con mi presión arterial no había podido dedicar tiempo a sacar la hierba, apenas retiraba algo del rededor de algunas plantas, pero apreciar como lucían.

Para mi sorpresa, una vecina contrató el lunes de esta semana un trabajador que sacó toda la hierba y también alguna que otra planta que no debía, como dos de los lirios que había sembrado, pero si los bulbos quedaron en la tierra no habrá mayor problema, pero eso solo lo sabe dentro de unos meses.

Pero es lindo ver como lucen las plantas que sembré y que cuidé durante la sequía. Se nota que han crecido, solo una murió y las que están en macetas temporales están siendo atacadas por cortadoras de hojas, creo que pronto tendré que cambiarlas de lugar.
