In this post, my little dog Sunzu makes her official introduction to the blockchain. Welcome to my blog. For a while now, I've been wanting to include content about my dogs and cats on my Hive blog. I had done this before, making some older posts about some other pets: Cenizo, the nameless cat, my cat Floyd and my cat Ro. Sunzu is the first female dog we have ever had. We have never had any dogs other than male dogs in the house before. Sunzu is a very special dog with a unique personality, and I'll tell you the origin of her name.

Sunzu es la primera perra que hemos tenido. Nunca antes habíamos tenido en la casa perros que no sean machos. Sunzu es una perrita muy especial con una personalidad única, y ya te cuento el origen de su nombre.

I have always been a very selective person with the names to give to a pet and in general to everything. Usually, I don't like to give a pet a name that is too common. That is why the name of this dog is quite original, although it is inspired by a famous Chinese author more than 2000 years ago, Sun Tzu, author of the book The Art of War, which I read not long ago. I don't know if her name does justice to the famous Chinese strategist, but I must say that Sunzu is very combative and slippery.

Y es por ello que el nombre de esta perrita es bastante original, si bien está inspirado en un famoso autor chino de hace más de 2000 años, Sun Tzu, autor del libro El Arte de la Guerra, el cual habia leído no hacía mucho tiempo. No sé si su nombre haga justicia al famoso estratega chino, pero debo decir que Sunzu es muy combativa y escurridiza.

However, Sunzu is a pinscher who is not as small and thin as many other dogs of her breed but rather seems to have a certain combination with Rottweilers, due to her floppy ears and thick legs. She has a much thicker build than most pinscher dogs.

Sunzu llegó muy pequeña, hace más o menos 2 años, a nuestra casa. En las fotos no se logra apreciar del todo que tan pequeña era. Se trata de una raza de perros muy pequeña. Sin embargo, Sunzu es una pinscher que no es tan pequeña y delgada como muchos otros perros de su raza, sino que más bien pareciera tener cierta combinación con los Rottweilers, debido a sus orejas caídas y patas gruesas. Up to that point, we had already had about 5 years with our other pinscher, Tyriom. We wanted Tyriom to have offspring, as he was quite a noble, fine, mini-pinscher, and we were very fond of him. The plan was for Sunzu to be his companion, and for them to have children in the future so that they would be left for the day when Tyriom was no longer with us. However, it was not to be. Tyriom became ill with the tick disease, Erlichia canis, and was unable to recover. Sadly, he passed away months after Sunzu's arrival. It's curious that despite being very young when that happened, Sunzu sometimes seems to remember Tyriom.

Hasta ese momento, teníamos ya alrededor de 5 años con nuestro otro pinscher, Tyriom. Queríamos que Tyriom tuviera descendencia, ya que era un perro bastante noble, fino, un pinscher propio de la raza mini-pinscher, y le teníamos mucho cariño. El plan era que Sunzu fuera su compañera, y que en un futuro tuvieran hijos para que nos quedaran para el día que Tyriom ya no estuviera con nosotros. Sin embargo, no pudo ser así. Tyriom enfermó de la enfermedad de la garrapata, la Erlichia canis, y no pudo recuperarse. Lamentablemente, falleció meses después de la llegada de Sunzu. Lo curioso es que a pesar de ser muy joven cuando eso ocurrió, Sunzu a veces parece recordar Tyriom.

From a very young age, Sunzu developed a fixation for balls, but especially for a green tennis ball I gave her. Actually, there were two green balls, but Sunzu liked the one that bounced the most out of the two of them better, which made her more excited. Sunzu has a bit of a nervous personality, I would say she is a bit anxious and in fact, she doesn't like strange people at all. She doesn't allow herself to be petted by people she doesn't know and tends to approach other dogs with some curiosity. In fact, I think she enjoys belly petting more than head petting.

Desde muy pequeña, Sunzu desarrolló una fijación por las pelotas, pero en especial por una pelota de tenis verde que le regalé. En realidad, habían dos pelotas verdes, pero a Sunzu le gustaba más la que más rebotaba de ellas dos, lo cual la estusiasma más. Her favorite activity is going outside. She has a very fine ear to detect the slightest sound of keys every time someone is going out, so she can go and ask to be taken out as well. She enjoys running a lot, especially in natural terrain with vegetation. Letting her out off-leash is a guarantee that she will do whatever she wants, as it is very difficult to catch her. As I already mentioned, she is very slippery, and every time she grabs something with her mouth she makes fun of whoever chases her since she is very agile to run. If you drop something and she catches it, it will be difficult to retrieve it. Maybe from a very young age, she needed some discipline to get used to walking carefully in the street, but maybe she will develop that with time.

Su actividad favorita es salir a la calle. Tiene un oído muy fino para detectar el más mínimo sonido de las llaves cada vez que alguien va a salir, para así ir a pedir que la saquen también. Disfruta de correr mucho, sobre todo en terrenos naturales con vegetación. Dejarla salir sin correa es garantía de que va a hacer lo que ella quiera, ya que es muy difícil agarrarla. Como ya mencioné, es muy escurridiza, y cada vez que agarra algo con la boca se burla del que la persiga ya que es muy ágil para correr. Si se te cae algo y ella lo agarra, va a ser difícil recuperarlo. Quizás desde muy pequeña hizo falta cierta disciplina para así acostumbrarla a caminar con cuidado en la calle, pero quizás eso lo desarrolle más con el tiempo.

We have another cat that arrived more recently in our home. Elio is a cat who lived on the street when he was still very young. For some reason, Elio and Sunzu have a closer relationship, perhaps because he is a more extroverted cat than Ro, who is a very quiet cat. Sunzu is a very playful and cheerful dog, although I would say that she is not very affectionate and she is not very delicate either. Our previous dog, Tyrion, was a much finer, more gentle, and more affectionate pinscher. Dogs reflect many different personalities from one another. Currently, I am thousands of kilometers away from Sunzu, as she is in Venezuela and I am in Spain. I hope to see her again soon to continue walking her and playing ball. These pictures were taken by me when she was still in Venezuela since she arrived at our home in 2021 until the beginning of this year.

Los perros refejan muchas personalidades diferentes entre sí. Actualmente, me encuentro a miles de Kilómetros de Sunzu, ya que ella se encuentra en Venezuela y yo en España. Espero pronto volverla a ver para seguir paseándola y jugar a la pelota. Estas fotos fueron tomadas por mi cuando aún estaba en Venezuela, desde que llegó a nuestra casa en el año 2021 hasta principios de este año.
