Without work, limited progress – 500 Hive powered up all the same

When I look at my hive blog for the last month, I have to admit that my activity was pretty inconsistent. There are two full weeks without posts at all. It's kind of normal that I don't manage to reach my goals like that.
In my defence, I have to say that with my kids doing a lot of sports, I was more on the road than at home this month. With a daughter taking part in international tournaments, this becomes like a new job for me...
500 Hive powered up
Thanks to Splinterlands, Risingstar and some trading activities on hive-engine, I managed again to collect 500 Hive that I powered up today. Thanks to this power up, my hive stake has grown by 800 this month. I focused mainly on hive this month because it's price was low and it was simply easier to collect hive than hbd.
Way behind my target
My benchmark for my targets is the percentage of the year that we have behind us. Since I set the goals, 158 days have passed. This is 43.2% of the time until the end of 2022. Therefore, to reach my target, I should have grown by 43.2% for my target tokens Hive Power and HBD.
Unfortunately the gap between my benchmark and the reality tends to become bigger and bigger.

For Hive, the gap last month was 7.6% and today it's 11.1%. I definitely need to create posts on a more regular basis to get back on track...

Great work powering up today. I powered up just 20 Hive but have been powering up nearly every day this month so my HP has grown more than that.
Thats a great way to measure your progress towards your goal.

You still are doing great. Even today you got 24 HP, it soon all adds up !
That's the great thing when you have a big stake. Your tokens multiply by themselves thourgh curation rewards and even through the rewards that you get for powering up Hive.
Wow... a proud daddy here with daughter participating and practicing hard to win tough international tournaments, I am sure however behind you are on your Hive goals, she is proud of you!!
Well, I think that she considers it to be quite normal that we support her but I'm definitely proud of her :-)
Impressive powerup, I like your strategy but I'm centered on HBD more than HIVE lately
HBD is definitely a very good alterntive. I'm focusing on hive and hbd and according to the market situation, I favour the one or the other.
I also think hive is underrated right now which is why i fired up 200 hive today.

That's a very nice power up. I think that it's never a mistake to power up some hive. Even if maybe it doesn't give the highest return you can never know how much hive will be worth down the road.

I powered up 25 Hive like usual but your goals are just way too high. I don't even get 500 HP in a single month even adding author rewards into my mix.

It took me quite a lot of time to get there :-). To have a lot of vauchers coming in from SL also helps a lot ;-)
Do you think that will change once the validator nodes rewards come in? I don't think VOUCHER will be worth as much.

I agree, I think we will see a steady decline of voucher prices once licence holders get them daily.
Family first, even if it hurts a bit the progress on Hive. And it's great your kids are doing so much sport. I remember you posted a picture with your daughter from a fight when she won a contest. Karate, right?
You have a good memory;-). Yes she is doing karate and since she got taken into the national team, we now have to go to tournaments abroad. It's great but quite time extensive :-)
I bet you're really proud, even if you need to go with her to other countries for competitions.

I managed to power up 10 Hive on the first. I enjoyed watching your 1000 power up each month for several months. Hopefully the new changes to splinterlands will reinvigorate the economy.
