Blueish and Coldish...

Frosty the snowman has returned to town. We experienced a mixture of snow and rain over the past couple of days, but sadly, there's hardly a trace of snow left here—except for the mountain peaks surrounding the town, both in my country and in Serbia.

I genuinely wish we had more snow because, as much as I appreciate warm and sunny days, I also have a deep affection for the snow and the cold. Cold acts as a teacher, instilling in us a respect for nature, highlighting our insignificance and powerlessness in the face of its forces. It serves as a "palpable reality" embodying what we might call timeless.

Today, I had plans to lavish some attention on my car. I ended up giving it a wash after all, but my intention was to visit my favorite car wash located in a nearby village. To make the car worthy of the wash, I decided to make it a bit dirty and embarked on a journey to the other side of town, all the way to a dead end where I captured some photos.

All the pictures in this post were taken from a tourist spot at the end of my town, showcasing the Serbian peaks visible from there. Serbs always seem to have better luck with snow, as the white powder somehow manages to linger longer on their side.

In the end, I did wash the car, but I made a U-turn on the way to my preferred car wash. I realized the road was laden with salt, and it would have been futile to wash it, as the journey back home would inevitably expose it to more salt—a less-than-friendly companion to the car's iron components.

My car already harbors a bit of rust beneath it and a few spots on its body, and trust me, I don't want any more of those. Anyway, this is just a brief photography post. I hope you enjoyed it, and feel free to share some pictures from your area so we can get a glimpse of the weather on your side of the world.

In here, so far all we got was a failed snow...

Not greener on the other side, simply whiter 😂

Car got the wash it deserved at home, makes no sense driving to town to make it dirty to return on the same road, it would be dirty again, not so?

Salt on the roads most definitely no friend to the vehicles for rust factor, we have sea air do enough damage there....

Nice to see the snow and know you appreciate it too.

What beautiful photos, I love them.

The village looks so tiny in front of those big mountains.

I love the cold too, although I have never seen or touched snow. I hope to be able to do it soon.

Thank you for sharing these beautiful pictures with us. I hope your car was clean hahaha. 🙈

The town that you see over there is tiny indeed.

In regard to my car, it started raining... 😀

Where are you from?
