Was at Tiong Bahru food centre with a bigger group of colleagues than usual for lunch recently. I went to one of the shorter queue stall and got a char siew rice. It was quite good and luckily I finished my food already before I heard the loud bang and a bunch of feathers fell from above. My colleague said a bird hit the big ass fan above us. People around were all looking around. At first, we thought the bird survived and maybe flew away.
🎶Meanwhile, some music for you to enjoy as you read. This piece is part of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, particularly the first of the 4 violin concertos, called Spring.

After lunch, when I went to return the the tray, I saw what was left of a pigeon on the floor. Rest In Peace, pigeon. I think some of the other colleagues may have PTSD after this lunch and won't come back soon.
On the way back to office, I passed by a café which was closed and seemed like renovation work for another business. Proably a different café or a restaurant that is too expensive for my taste. The sign says "Magpie".

I'd love to eat char siew rice, you guys are special in it. The food looks great, I hope the bird didn't spoil everything. best wishes
Sorry about the pigeon.
Your meal looks really delicious.
Hopefully, they remove the pigeon soon.
Otherwise, the diners will lose their appetite and the stalls business will be affected.
Thanks for visiting.
Have a nice day
That char siew rice looks delicious. I remember enjoying the food at the haekers in Singapore and in Little India..
This is one of the better char siew rice I have around there. 😎
Thanks for coming by.
Have a good day.
