So 2022 came and went and seems quite fast. I was watching the countdown show on TV yesterday. They started fireworks early at 11pm off and on.
那2022年来了又去，似乎相当快。我昨天在电视上看倒数节目。他们早在晚上11点就开始断断续续地放烟花。

The morning of New Year Day started off a bit gloomy though the sun was shining later. I shall wish you Happy New Year but if you are in Singapore having to pay 1% more for GST and more for public transport recently, there are at least two things we are not happy about.
元旦的早晨开始时有点阴沉，尽管后来阳光灿烂。我就祝你新年快乐，但如果你在新加坡，最近要多付1%的消费税和更多的公共交通费用，至少有两件事我们就不啥快乐啦。
