Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge - A new Year yet to Revive my Account

Greetings to all and sundry on this great platform, I welcome you all to my blog and today I write to participate in this week's Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge. I am thrilled to be part of the Splinterlands family. I hope that you guys would like my entry. Without much ado, I would like to go straight to the purpose of this post. This week we have a new topic where users are encouraged to write and share their ideas about the Splinterlands 2024 Review and My Next Year Goals. I would submit my entry to that here in this post.

Today we shall be looking at my goals for the coming year in the Splinterlands game and a brief review of this year. There are several topics or questions which I will be tackling in this post.

What strategies or card combinations worked well for you?

I used to like the Earth Deck monsters a lot in my battles. This was because there are good bloodlust monsters such as Quora Towershead and Katrelba which are very good double-attack monsters. Using any of these cards in a battle and lose is very rare. However, my favorite deck is now the Water Deck units after I earned the Possibilus the Wise summoner in the game. This summoner gives three special abilities that improve one's lineup in a good way. The 2 additional health to all monsters is a plus, the reach ability also gives the chance to place a melee monster at the second position. The best combination when it comes to the water deck is choosing the Possibilus the Wise summoner, Djinn Oshannus in the first position, Coastal Sentry in the second position, and other monsters follow. The Coastal Sentry with its double-strike ability can attack twice from the reach ability on the summoner.

What are your goals for the new year? Are you looking to improve your gameplay, expand your card collection, or connect with other players?

This year, I couldn't achieve much from the Splinterlands game because I used to be a Wild player and once they introduced the fee/charge to play in that format, I was not active on the game any longer. I only go in to place in my brawls and nothing much any longer. Before my gameplay can be improved I would first of all have to improve my card collection and I am planning on doing that next year. Yes, connecting with friends is very necessary and it is part of my plans for the coming year. I also plan to earn 100,000 SPS staked at the end of next year.

How do you plan to achieve your goals? Will you be focusing on specific card combinations, practicing new strategies, or participating in tournaments?

My plans to achieve the goals are very simple but demanding though. I would first of all have to improve my card collections after which I will start playing tournaments that involve SPS rewards so I can win more from there. Also, I would have to increase my game time for the game so I can utilize my Energies very well.
