Forgiveness of Sins | The Old Path

Greetings to everyone here once again. I am very excited to be part of this community, and today I would like to write about and share with you guys an exciting topic about which I was sent a video to watch and learn from. The topic for discussion today is "Forgiveness of Sins" Follow me as we discuss this topic today.

Brother Eli stated at the start of the video,"What sins are you committing?, Is it grievous or unpardonable?" In the bible, there are two kinds of sins: sin unto death and sin not unto death. From the book of 1 John 5:16: "If any man see his brother sin a sin which is not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death." "There is a sin unto death; I do not say that he shall pray for it."

According to the Bible, we have mortal sins and sins that are not mortal. If a person sins in his or her lifetime, there is a higher chance of the person committing that sin again due to human weaknesses and temptations that are out of control.

From the book of Matthew 18:21–22 "Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?." Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, until seven times: but, until seventy times seven." This teaches even if a brother sins seven times, his sins shall be forgiven.

In order to accept the teaching, we must know that the teaching does not encourage us to sin. There are two types of sins: pardonable and unpardonable sins. According to Hebrews 10:26-27, when anyone commits an unpardonable sin. "For if we sin willfully afte that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

If one commits an unpardonable sin willfully, knowingly, and of one's own free will, there remaineth no more sacrifice for those sins.
