Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge! | The Armored Up Ruleset

avatar

Greetings to all and sundry on this great platform, I welcome you all to my blog and today I write to participate in this week's battle mage secrets weekly challenge. I am very happy to be part of the Splinterlands family. I hope that you guys would like my entry. Without much ado, I would like to go straight to the purpose of this post. Today, the battle ruleset is "ARMORED UP" and I would submit my entry to that here in this post including a video of my battle.

Per the ruleset of the game, All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat. Use magic attacks, but the opponent will do the same, so focus on HP. Is countered by Rust or Wizard of Eastwood's summoner ability. I used my account @abu78 to participate in this battle. I am currently playing in the Silver league of the Wild Format. Before I demonstrate the battle here, let's briefly look into the Ruleset of the game.

Summoner:

I chose the "OBSIDIAN summoner". It was a 19-mana game condition and I had to manage my card selection to suit that. I chose the OBSIDIAN summoner so that my monsters would have an increase in magic attack. I added the Mushroom Seer monster which decreases the magic attack of my opponent's monsters. Also, Psychic Goblin served as a tank healer in my lineup which restores the health of my first-position monster.

1st Position:

Terraceous Grunt, this card has the melee attack ability it also has the dodge ability. It is a 6-mana monster with a speed of 2, 2 melee damage attack, and 10 health with 2 armor protection.

Round 1:

First, all monsters took their effect from the summoner by gaining two extra magic attack abilities. My lineup was made up of four monsters including; Terraceous Grunt, Goblin Psychic, Sleeping Ooze, and Mushroom Seer monsters.

In the first round, the Terraceous Grunt monster of my opponent attacked first followed by mine, and then a magic attack from Goblin Psychic after which my Mushroom Seer monster also attacked. The Moxian Rebel and the Chaos Agent monster also attacked my first-position monster as well. At the end of the first round, no monster was eliminated.

Round 2:

In this round, the Terraceous Grunt monster of my opponent attacked first followed by my monster. A similar pattern of attacks occurred in this round with Goblin Psychic restoring the first position monsters.

At the end of the round, no monster was eliminated yet in the battle.

Round 3:

In this round, after the Terraceous Grunt monster attacked my first-position monster, the Mushroom Seer monster was able to attack and eliminate my opponent's Terraceous Grunt monster.

After subsequent attacks from my opponent's monsters, he was able to eliminate my Terraceous Grunt monster as well, and so at the end of the round, I was left with three monsters while my opponent was left with four monsters.

Round 4:
In this round, the Mushroom Seer monster attacked first and eliminated the Psychic Goblin monster of my opponent and from there I realized I could win the battle. The Goblin Psychic monster attacked and eliminated the Sleeping Ooze monster.

At the end of this round, two of my opponent's monsters were eliminated and I was left with three monsters while my opponent was left with two monsters.

Round 5:
In this round, with an attack from my Mushroom Seer monster, I was able to eliminate the Moxian Rebel monster right away. Chaos Agent attacked my Goblin Psychic monster after which it also attacked back and eliminated it with just an attack.

This was how my battle went and my opponent won it with ease. I think the selection of my cards especially going in with magic cards was a great idea.

Thank you all for your time and attention for going through my post. A link to my battle is provided here Battle Link
