The Northern Lights
Who says you have to pay thousands to visit Iceland to see the famous Northern Lights????
They were on full display here in Galway in the last hour and they were utterly amazing.
My wife had an early night and I was wondering whether to wake her.
I decided to wake her and she was so glad that I did!
We've always wanted to go to Iceland to see them and tonight they came to Ireland to see us!!
It's not that easy to get a great shot of them, but we did our best.

My wife's family in the UK could see them too and took these photos.
I'm delighted to have seen them in the flesh, it's been on my bucket list for a while.

I'm really gutted I missed this. All my friends in UK are posting their northern light photos on FB, as well as my local FB group showing what I would have seen if I were to stand outside my front door

We were in field with tripods,cameras but mother nature changed her mind..
