Kid Loco for Three Tune Tuesday - Week 106 - 10 HBI shares to be won!
** Drum roll please.....**
Kid Loco - Relaxin' With Cherry
I can't remember who it was that put me onto Kid Loco first, it may have been a Cafe Del Mar CD back in the day. Remember those? They used to have great music on them more times than not. The music for the most part here is instrumental, with a few samples and to be honest if I was laying down tunes, these are the kind of tunes I'd be hoping to come up with.
Kid Loco had an album called A Grand Love Story all the way back in 1997 and this is the second tune of the album and probably my favourite of the lot, it brings back great memories, like music should. For me when music does not need words, it is next level stuff.
Kid Loco - A Grand Love Theme
Another tune that does not need words and just happily jaunts along in it's chilled out manner. I guess it would fit under the Trip Hop umbrella along with acts like Massive Attack or Portishead.
This is another one from the A Grand Love Story album and this one is the opening track and lays down the formula for the rest of the album.
Kid Loco - Little Doll Feat. Olga Kouklaki
I'm not sure what made Kid Loco pop into my head for this music and it would be very easy to pick three from A Grand Love Story, but instead I got to thinking whether he is still making music, as it has been a while since I listened to him.
A quick Youtube search turned up this collaboration with Olga Kouklaki which I thought was quite good, so I'll finish out this week's post with this one.
Three Tune Tuesday
That's right, it's Tuesday folks and for our merry little band of ladies and lads, that means sharing tunes, good vibes and engagement. As another week disappears in the rearview mirror, we have loads of engagement and tunes flying around on Three Tune Tuesday and sure isn't that bloody fantastic! I hope you're ready to share three tunes from wherever you find yourself on this magical spinning lump of rock that we all call home and sure you might even sing us a tune if we're lucky?
It's a time of the week when lovers of music, tunes and craic bring their blockchain community three of their finest and brightest tunes to share and celebrate, so let's roll on and let the tunes flow free.
This is my 106th week waxing lyrical for Three Tune Tuesday and we are still going strong.
It started off with me just sharing tunes into what seemed like a void, but little by little others joined and now I'm thrilled that we have a little corner of Hive where we come and share our tunes every Tuesday, and long may it continue. I almost stopped posting the songs and thoughts a few times, but I stuck with it and now interestingly it is my favorite thing about Hive. I love music and now I have a network of folks around the world who love music too and we share our tunes and catch up with each others tunes and discuss them each week. We get Pop, Metal, Rock, Gospel, Folk, Jazz, Rap, Hip-Hop, Trip-Hop, Reggae, Bippy bappidy Flange Hop. Ok I made that one up, but you get the idea, we are all learning about new artists, bands, back stories and sure isn't it just mighty!
Something that excites me the most is that we even get musicians sharing their covers of famous songs and even their own songs from time to time here on #ThreeTuneTuesday, which is a real favorite of mine, as that takes talent, time and dedication.
We are adding New posters and retaining our core of regulars here on #TTT which is fantastic. Let's keep it growing. Weekly, I try to find four to six hours to listen to all of the fantastic music shared from like-minded folk from around the globe and interact with their posts. This has led me to genres I don't know well and to some amazing new bands and artists and has even introduced me to some musical instruments I did not know existed. It also allows me to upvote smaller accounts and find some really interesting people from all over the world, which is heartening.
I hope you enjoy the tunes - be sure to tell me all about it in the comments below and above all else, please enjoy the rest of your Tuesday - smile at a stranger, rub a dog, be a nice human to someone who was not expecting it - peace out.
For those unfamiliar with TTT or Three Tune Tuesday....
The jist is as follows
Every Tuesday I'm going to share 3 songs which I like to listen to and I invite your feedback in the comments below. Better still, why not have a blast of your own Three Tune Tuesday and mention me in the post and I'll come and find the post and upvote it. If you could also use #threetunetuesday tag that would be great, as that is what I use when sifting through all the entries every Wednesday. It'll be a sweet way for us all to discover new music. You'll also be in with a chance of winning the prize - more on that later.

Ooh, I already know I'm going to enjoy these. I remember those Cafe Del Mar CDs, they were wonderful compilations. They also had a lot of remixes and revisions that weren't available anywhere else. They brought a real vibe to the place I worked at just after secondary school. We used to intersperse the Cafe Del Mar cds with Beuna Vista Social Club and Afro Cuban All Stars. They just seemed to work well together.
Sweet!! Sounds like a kick ass place to work, I'd say the day flew in with good tunes playing.
Considering all the places that I've worked, it was probably one of the better ones for sure.
You have your work cut out for you for days! So much good stuff came in. I'm still trawling through finds of good music 😁
It's turning into a great spot for discovering new tunes isn't it..
My favorite is the second one. I like it. it's soft and still groovy. I could work to it. Especially when it comes to writing.
Cheers, glad to introduce you to Kid Loco 👌
I've never heard of this artist. They're friggin' awesome! Thank you for sharing this :D
Also... I've figured out the timing for #ttt at last. Hah! (I suck at admin, btw)
Hehe. Today is best day ever!!
Thanks for keeping this rolling
The tunes this week tho 👀🔥♥️
Nice one Nicky, glad you like em, this album got a lot of plays back in the day.
I know!! We are getting more and more folks with great taste in music signed up which is mighty 👌
It's the first time I've listened to Kid Loco, and I liked what I listened to so far, especially the first tune. Thanks for sharing it.
I hope you are very well :)
I knew you'd like them, right up your street I'd say. Thanks a million for stopping by for a listen and read 🙏
Once upon a time I really didn't appreciate instrumentals, which is strange, since the vocals of a song are really just another instrument anyway. What an instrumental doesn't have is a chorus, but good ones don't need it. Awesome picks. And nice to finish with some vocals. :)
Thanks man, I imagine instrumentals to be more challenging to compose, as there are no lyrics to lean on at all. I also find them better for working with while typing or thinking or whatever..
Cheers man, fair play 👍
