The low haze of smoke billowed above their heads, moving and swirling in circular patterns as the last of the daylight gently left and was replaced by the quiet glow of a lava lamp. The four of them couldn't remember the last time they were all alone together. The fame came quickly and was all consuming.

Ringo's question hung in the air for a while, and eventually Paul piped up, with blood-shot stoner eyes:

"That mushroom was proper nice and I think I have a song guys, George throw me over the Les Paul you got from Eric Clapton, will you?"

He started to play and sing, as the other three looked on mesmerised, mesmerised and baked.

Ringo, John and George exchanged looks. Smoke continued to billow around the room, as two joints now circled on repeat. Eventually John said:

"I'll tell you something Paul, you might well be onto something there me auld flower. Do me a favour, sing it again and instead of Let it Bleed, try Let it Be...."

Well, it seems a feckin age since I had a crack at a Freewrite, so there ye go... I hope ye liked it.
