A gift of Fire Wood for next Winter
Firewood
My brother called me the other day and said that he had spare fire wood if I wanted some. I said yes of course and he dropped it over to me that evening.
This will be excellent for next Winter when we have cold weather again. The only down side was that it got dropped over to me a couple of hours before a match that I really wanted to see, Arsenal vs Porto in the Champions League.
Here is the fire wood before it was tidied away. It was dropped over in a trailer as you can see below and my middle child who is seven years old helped me to tidy it away in a corner of our shed.
You can see him at the back of the trailer here about to take some wood out and carry it to the corner of the shed for me to stack up.
Stacks
As we emptied the wood from the trailer and stacked it. A little bit like any Crypto stack, it started small, but little by little it grew.
In the end we finished with two and half rows stacked to around seven or eight feet tall, which will be very handy next year to burn in our range.
We then made it back inside just on time to watch Arsenal win 1-0 to bring the match to extra time and penalties and our team Arsenal went onto win putting Arsenal into the quarter finals of the Champions League.
That game is on next Tuesday, well the first leg anyway and Arsenal's opponent this time is Bayern Munich and I feel we have every chance of beating them. Munich are a full thirteen points behind Bayern Leverkusen in the Bundesliga and have not been firing on all cylinders, so I think my Arsenal team will give them a great run. Unfortunately if we win the next hurdle would be Manchester City or Real Madrid, but first we must dispatch Bayern and I think we will.
But back to the fire wood, not a bad present to get eh 🎁 🪵🪓
Peace out.
That's a great present, firewood isn't cheap anymore!
Ya pure handy 👌🏻
He'll be looking for help with hay or sheep in return, but that's all good 👍🏻
I hope you haven't any illegal turf hidden under that pile!
I'm almost out of turf, I'll have to save a plot again this year
Great gift and great to have help from your 7year old @ablaze
