The world has its favorites, but I love my life
The world has its favorites but I am happy with what I have and I take advantage of my circumstances to turn them into beautiful occasions. Yesterday my mom, dad and I were provoked to eat a hot dog, when we asked the price, it turned out that it cost two dollars each and we were very hungry because we had been running some errands during the day. So with just one hot dog we were not going to be satisfied and since we have no gas because here in Venezuela during these last days there has been no gas, so we are cooking with an electric stove, usually these stoves are very slow, so is ours, so just getting home to cook was making us more hungry but with desperation.
Our budget was a little short, however, I went to the market and noticed that a bag of 10 hot dog buns cost two dollars, so I bought it. At home we had onions and sauces, so the sausages were missing. We asked my sister to buy us three dollars worth of sausages because the market I went to was very expensive and my sister was near a grocery store where they were cheaper and she did us the favor.
Here in Venezuela, the hot dog is served with cabbage, carrot and cilantro slaw, french fries, onions, sauces and cheese. They are too delicious like that, but we didn't have enough for all that and we gratefully adapted to what we had and the result was phenomenal. Our hot dogs with onions and sauces were delicious. We each ate two, so we spent five dollars because we had the sauces and onions at home and were satisfied.
If we had bought the other two-dollar hot dogs, we would have had to spend two dollars which I wouldn't have minded spending if I had had them but with five we made do without complaining. We also had four more buns and four sausages left.
The point is friends that we should not be thinking about why others have and we do not. They are circumstances, sometimes we have and sometimes we don't, but being adaptable and grateful is the best antidote against frustration. If we see that the world welcomes only its favorites, no problem, we have life, we move, we breathe and we are endowed with a brain capable of elaborating, building, realizing wonderful scenarios and making every day count. At the end of the day, happiness does not depend on what we have, rather it depends on how capable we are to enjoy each day whatever the circumstances. Let's not compare ourselves with others, that is giving prominence to the lives of others and this leads us to stop living our own life. A terrible mistake because everyone should be the protagonist of his life and lead it with joy even in adverse circumstances.
We still don't have gas, but we solve this problem with the electric stove and we continue on this wonderful path of living with gratitude.

Happy New YEAR !🎉
It's always a pleasure to share in this beautiful community 🥳🥳
It's very refreshing for me 💞.
Being adaptable and grateful always helps us to have a more positive attitude. it never depends on the money, but on the attitude and the people you surround yourself with, I'm glad that on days when money is tight you have a positive attitude and solve with great ideas that allow you to have a good time with the family. A giant hug 💓
That's right, we can create beautiful occasions with whatever we have, even if it's little, but as you mention, the best ingredients are a positive attitude and the people we love 💞
A big hug 💞 🤗
I agree with you. It’s all about being grateful. Thinking about why others have when you don’t is not a solution in any case. Look at that smile after being able to make do of what you had for the hot dog😍.. I call that contentment ✨
Certainly my dear @abenad 🌻 the satisfaction of not wasting time in frustrations but creating beautiful moments with what we have and with those we love is very great. So it is worth continuing to make every day of our existence worthwhile 😉
Thank you so much for such a nice comment 💫🌻💗.
You’re welcome ☺️
I loved this statement so much. Comparing yourself to others in tight situations does nothing but fuel frustration. Your smile is so pretty and yes, I resonated with this post
