Alex is a young boy who has a love for Patience. Patience on the other hand came from a well known and rich family. They attend the same school and are in the same class. So, everyone has known them as the only true lovers and have been seen together in the school. They were not ready to drop their love for each other as they had promised each other never to leave each other's side.

Their school wants to embark on an excursion to an island in Ghana. There were twenty in class and 36 in the senior arm who were ready to go on the excursion. Some of the students were not having money for transportation which reduced the number to 20. Alex on the other hand was not having money but Patience found ways to pay his fees. This made their love for each other increase.

The excursion will come up in three months which is the end of the session. Everyone, including Patience, has been prepared only waiting for the third week of their exams. Their exams started and they wrote their papers successfully. Alex's results were the best while Patience also did so great. The head of the school later refunded Alex's money just because of the way he cleared his results. This made Patience so excited and after the refund, Alex decided to return the money to Patience, but she rejected the money. She told Alex to keep the money as she has given him the money from her heart and out of the love she has for him. They were both very excited.

Now it was time for the journey and they all took the school bus to the ocean bank. The ship which will convey them down to the island has been ready. They all entered and headed straight to the island. The ship sailed straight to the island and they had a happy tour together as well as the other students. The geography teacher showed them all they needed to know and made them ask questions. He answered each of their questions to the fullest. They stayed for four days and we're supposed to return on the fifth day before the unexpected happens.

Patience was nowhere to be found and everyone began to search everywhere to make sure that she was found but to no avail.

Where would she have gone to? Where did she know that this island is full of bushes? Alex asked and said to himself.

There were no traces of a halt, not even a house built on the island. It has been an abandoned island.

Patience has been with Alex all through but just to go to the island to ease herself was now the problem they are facing right now.

I wish I knew I would have followed her.

Alex was in tears and was crying bitterly. He ran deep into the island in search of Patience, shouting her name to see if she could answer but all to no avail.

While he was searching he came across a halt which has been used for ages. It was an abandoned halt. He quickly ran inside it. He saw fresh traces of footsteps in the form of women's shoes and he decided to call Patience's name aloud. He went into the halt but found no one. Alex became helpless and hopeless. His mind was on his mouth and his head was bigger than his body. He became confused without any idea of where his girl might be.

He sat down thinking of how they both profess love for each other. He also thought of the number of children they promised to give birth to and the places they would love to visit. He also thought of how she fell into a pit just because of a black cat. After the thoughts, tears began to roll down his cheeks. Others were also looking in other directions hoping to see Patience but could not find her anywhere.

So, after pouring down tears, a black cat ran across him and ran to a pit. Alex followed the cat and behold, he saw Patience right in the pit lying helpless. He shouted her name loudly Patience!!!. Alex went straight into the pit and brought her out. He carried her to where they camped. Everyone was very happy to see Patience as it would have been hell if they did not find her as her parents would sue the school for it.

Patience became revived and explained what happened to her and how she fell into the pit.

After the sixth day, the ship arrived and sailed them back. While sailing, the whole students were happy to have seen the island.
