Another week has passed, how are we doing on the engagement front this time around?

The Hive Engagement League
This league is not based around financial rewards and relates to engagement.
Everyone currently on my master list has a chance here - including those powering down or dealing in delegations over the past couple of weeks.
I've used some metrics relating to:
- Posts (P)
- Comments - number of (C)
- Number of people spoken to (PS)
- Comments - replies to replies - depth > 2 (C R)
- Comments - length in characters (C L)
- Witness votes (W) (for those voting via proxy, your total is always 30)
- Up-votes to others (V)
- Up-votes to different authors (U V)
- Self-votes - No minus score but no bonus HIVE(S V)

Yeah! I only discovered on Thursday that my auto-votes were set to only twice per week.
Went back in and reset to the original status, 1 per day and 7 times per week.
I understand that it was done to encourage more manual curation, but instances like our charity that are active every day should not be included.
At least it is sorted now and I apologize to everyone that has not received the regular upvote from @papilloncharity.

I can’t find the symbol on this keyboard. I typed fraulein and it didn’t come up but when I typed doppelgänger the word came up underneath with the dots over the a. I just clicked to use it- sort of a spell check.
Once in awhile the iPad gets really smart. 😄Those are the only words I know except Ockoberfest.😊

I make a lot of short repetitive comments thanking people for entering the Shadow Contest. I fear making them longer because I was accused of being biased before the judging, so those add to my comment numbers. I try to switch up the wording and I hand out tips, but they are certainly not creative comments!

We had a short week - Thursday was a holiday and I was off work on Friday, so I had time for my bike ;) ... and I didn't edit any photos nor did I post anything. That's why I was hoping for rain yesterday, but the sun shone and I had to go for another ride instead of doing something for my blog.It's better in Winter when I can't go out so much 😉
I usually don't write that much either, but the #AlphabetHunt challenge has lead me to write some extended comments, and I had quite some fun doing that 😉

My CL number is quite high, while my other numbers are just average or even poor I think, and apart of my long comments I have been very busy outside of the Hive (fulltime working again and beautiful weather means I prefer to sit on my motorbike ;) and I have made one post only this week.

You'll need to post to the community (by selecting it in peakd or using the hive-xxxxx code as the first tag), and then you can re-blog it to your own feed.
i think in peakd there is also an option to 'also share to blog', but it's a self re-blog on hive.blog.

I almost feel like a contrarian this week. A few more post, comments and words, this week, but it was an odd week with the steem fork drama. Still over all a pretty nice looking week.
One advantage I guess to being on the other side of the world, when I don't stay up to late, or Asher gets up to early, is I get to read a lot of the comments, It was nice to see several people wanting to be added.
Congratulations to everyone that made the list, maybe I will be able to move into the green for next week, I just have to see how I feel and what I find. I finished off the Series Humans on Amazon Prime, so maybe a bit more time on Hive and less on watching old TV series.
That would be me getting up quiet early - the post is usually out by 10 am.
I don't mind seeing people drop in and out of the higher ranks and think it shows they have other things to do, like watch old TV :)

Each of the metrics in the table have a score, and they are tallied up. So it's just a case of doing what you normally do and seeing what works :)

haha, no! I should stop taking new ones, before I sort out and edit and share the harvest from the two previous walks. this moment of flowerish and everything suddenly turned green was magic. I've made tonns of macros (of fungi and appletrees bloom) and teles (of ducks and other birdies).
I have about 300 photos from the past months which I still have o edit. These are the ones which I have already chosen to be good enough. Most are from walks and hikes I have already posted about, and these photos just didn't fit or I have been too lazy to edit more than neccessary ;)
It was the same here - we didn't have any rain for weeks and then after a few wet days everything turned green and the flowers have been blooming in all colors :)
So, when you say you have tons of images you think you can lay lazy around because you have enough photos for the next months? I thought the same, but to be honest, I don't know if I am going to use most of the above mentioned photos if I can get fresh images soon ;)

no. I meant a different thing at all. ofc I will make more photos. but.... one have to slow down pause and look at whats done, to move further. I dont want to multiple raw files one gigabite next to another then being hided beneath a new ones atc etc etc -- I know myself, I may never return back to these folders again :/
actually, when I got a 70-300 telephoto back in 2008, my wife and me used it a lot for the architectural walks around the city -- we took a lot of pictures of mascarons and other cool remnants of the past, signs of the city environment (and no portraits of the strangers, no streetphoto) -- I know I need to share these pics, there is a lot of very intresting (and exclusive) stuff the folks would appreciate. a lot of hivers would never travel to SPb and never see it other way -- I have to do that... but! this is an old stuff and for me, emotionally, it is being hidden with the fresh stuff - which is not that exclusive/unique/valuable, actually (everybody can capture an appletree bloom or a ladybug!) = but it is more valuable for myself, currently, like a growing photographer. so... thats why I said what I said. a little self-restriction helps to speed-up sharing the stuff-that-have-been-done, and opens the road for the new photos
Well, normally the books I read have less words than your comment and they have also photos inbetween ;) lol
I know exactly what you mean and I do have such folders too. The black swan and the photo of my climbing father for example comes from such an old folder :)
I have a complicated system which is only easy for me. I use Lightroom and Photoshop and I have many different folders for original files, file which need to be edited and then published and already published files, but all in all it comes quite close to your system with hidden old files, but the black swan for example ist such an old file ;)

and yes, when I wanted to check, I suddenly found myself in this close-to-the-top section of the list, which was ... pleasurable. the number '12' I like far better then '13' :) anything with 7 and 2 is better for me, for weird reasons.

I tried to write a couple more posts last week, but I wasn't happy with how things turned out. It's been happening a little too often lately. Even on the posts that do get published.

It's Memorial Day here in the States, so I'm off work for the day (maybe), while my wife has a person's house to clean. I'm on cooking duty later.

It wasn't anything major. My wife helped out with the trimmings while I grilled burgers and fancy hot dogs. My oldest son brought chips, potato salad and soda to round things out. A good, but fairly brief time was had by nearly all of us.
The problem with the holiday being on a Monday, however, is that you do need to go back to work, if you are working, on Tuesday. All Monday holidays really should be moved to Friday. Tuesdays should not become Mondays even if it means a shorter work week, because all you do is wish it were Friday.
Oh, well.
