Take Me Back To 2005

In Ghana, there’s something called dbee. I don’t know what exactly it’s called in other countries but dbee means daddy’s girl(dada ba). I’ve always been a dbee. Although, now I’m closer to my mom, I’m still a full dbee. My mom was just hard to deal with at that time but with my dad, I just need to ask and I was given. If you know me well, you’ll know how much I love traveling but what you don’t know is how it started. It all started when I was a kid.
Wait, is it weird that I remember most of my childhood memories? Like from 5 years going.

Yeah I remember most of the things that happened. As I was saying, this whole love for traveling started when I was a kid. I had a bunch of baby walkers. I was one of those kids who never grew so big for reasons I don’t even know but I was healthy. So you know how the baby walker is so small? It’s funny how for me, I could still fit at the age of 5.
I loved my baby walker. Oh did I say the part where I hated walking? Oh yeah! Even up till now, I hate walking. I don’t think it’s even going to change though.

I had a lot of toys, a lot. From microphones to speakers to headphones. You might be wondering why I’m talking about only musical instruments. Okay, I missed a very important part. When I was a kid, I loved singing. My parents even thought I was going to grow up to be a musician and that’s how come most of my toys were musical instruments but look at me now. If you ask me to sing even the national anthem, you’ve really worried me.

Anyway, so my dad realized for some reason, I was always in my baby walker. You know how they could send a kid to go and do something? For me when you send me, instead of me walking there I would just get into my walker and push myself there. Oh my love for “vehicles in motion” became worse because anytime my dad came home, I would run to his car after opening the gate and then sit inside his car for him to enter the house.

Then I would get down and run to lock the gate. It doesn’t make sense but that was how worse it was. I kept my walker until I was around 8 years then it got destroyed because it could no more carry my weight and I had no option than to let it go. If you are thinking that I requested for another walker, you’re so right. I requested for another walker but my mom said it was getting into my head so I had to grow up.

If I could still be in my baby walker, nobody would even have to tell me twice. I would rush into it and display all I want throughout the day. Oh yeah, I know I’m still a baby, just a little bigger now. Nobody should laugh, if you laugh you’re not my friend again.(Let me runaway before my crush comes to see this).

This reminds me of when my mom promised to buy me one of those cars for kids. I think it has something to do with my obsession with cars now . Cause I never got to satisfy that craving
