One Stitch At A Time

Hello fellow needleworkers, so I’ve been working on this project for a while now. I know most of you know me as the fast crocheter but for this particular project, I’ve been so slow. I’ve not really been having any encouragement to hold hook for a while which is a little weird coming from someone obsessed with crochet.I’ve been wanting to make a dress for a very long time. I felt maybe I should buy new yarns, in fact I was going to buy baby pink yarns but the thing is I already have so many yarns in different shades of yellow and I see no point in abandoning those ones when I could just make them into something beautiful.

Sometimes as crocheters, when we go yarn shopping, we buy more than we need and the yarns end up not being used and that’s why I have different shades of yellow. I kept on over buying yellow yarns.
Anyway, this project is a dress of different shades of yellow. A flare dress. I have everything figured out, from the design to the plan and everything but I’ve just been really slow this time.

Apart from the fact that I don’t have any morale to finish this on time, I have made up my mind to take my time. I want to make a really nice dress in the end so I don’t see the point in rushing. I know how sometimes we just rush and by the time we finish with our work, we regret everything and wish we had just corrected our mistakes.

So I’m trying my best not to make mistakes at all because any mistake that would lead me to unravel my work can even make me cry at this point. The dress is coming out well, aside the fact I’m taking so long to finish this, everything is just alright. I guess a win is a win. So far, so good. In as much I’m trying to take my time, part of me is also in a hurry to see the outcome of the dress. I already have a planned date for that dress even though I’m not even done with it.

My favorite part is the sleeves, it’s not done yet but you’ll see it soon. I already said part of me is in a hurry to finish it but when I remember that I’m only 20% done I just feel like let me put it somewhere and start a new simpler project. I know I’m not the only person who keeps on thinking like this especially when the project takes longer than expected. Thank God for this community, now most of us always finish our work just so we can share it here.

I’m going back to continue working on this and I can’t wait to share the results with you all soon or not soon. Either way, stay tuned and of course thank you for your time.

That's really weird babe

And this dress is already looking so much inviting. I can imagine how you will look while rocking it. Please pick up motivation and round up, wear it, take shots and let's see how beautiful it will like on you

Nice job so far
