My “photos” hate to see me coming
I’ve never met anyone who loves deleting pictures more than I do. Four years ago, I used to guard my phone gallery like my life depended on it, but now, I just open my gallery and close it in seconds as if someone is chasing me from that place.
I don’t even think I recognize where the transition happened, but I know there has been a great transition. I am no more obsessed with pictures like I used to be. You see how people love going through their gallery for whatever reasons; I hate doing that. I’m always confused when I see that because why are you going through your own gallery? You already know what is there, so what again?
But I got to find out people watch their gallery for memories and other things, which I find cute but just can’t relate. You’re probably wondering how I get the pictures I want from my gallery if I don’t go through it. Well, I search for them. Thankfully, iOS has a feature that allows you to search for that thing you’re looking for. And that’s even better for me because anytime I open my gallery, I find myself deleting hundreds of pictures.
Sometimes, I find it very funny that as someone who loves taking pictures, I hate going through them so many times or holding on to them for years. There are just times I’ve had to format my phone just so I wouldn’t have any pictures again. And it’s even worse when I change my phone because I never want to transfer anything, especially pictures, from my old phone to the new one.
Going back to the prompt, I don’t think I’m even so organized digitally, or let me just say there’s nothing to organize because I never have anything to tidy up. My devices are literally the most boring you’d ever find, and I get that a lot from people. So safe to say I’ve always been a digital minimalist, innit?
But that’s because of this natural habit I have of deleting stuff from my phone. You’d catch me randomly deleting a whole album from my gallery with no iota of regret. And you see how people delete stuff and later look for them? It’s never the case with me. The moment a picture is deleted, it’s mentally deleted as well. Maybe that’s because I’m always taking new pictures.
At this point, I even feel like my photos app might be feeling bad with all that I’m saying, so let me just end here. - Someone who is on her way to delete a whole album.

I delete pictures a lot, yes I like the memories but with Google backups I just take them off my gallery.
Oh yeah Google back up is also a good idea.
