Let’s Crochet A Flower Vase With Flowers For My Sister

Hello everyone, I made something for my sister today and I’m here to share with you all that thing I made: A flower vase with flowers.
My sister has been trying to decorate her space but she has only been doing it with her mouth so I decided to help her today. She literally gave me a contract to make her space nice, oh a contract with no pay. She’s paying 0.00 for all my hard work. I just know she’ll pay me back with her closet so I don’t mind.

It took me a while to get hold of the flowers because I don’t have a glue gun to glue them. I spent about 4 hours on everything and I just realized I hate the process of making rose flowers but I love the outcome.

The materials I used were:
• leftover yarns
• 1.60 mm crochet hook
• broom sticks/wire (funny right?)
• sewing needle

I started by making the vase which was even more work than I thought. She told me she don’t want anything regular so I had to set the bar high for her. I chose a particular vase which is not so common. With the base, I made a magic ring and then made 8 single crochet. I then increased it in every stitch the next row.
Bonus explanation: An increase means 2 crochet stitches in the same stitch.

In the next row, I made one single crochet in a stitch and then an increase in the next stitch till I was done with that row.
In the next row, I made 2 single crochet and then an increase. So it went on like this for a while to build the base. After row 4, I made single crochet in each stitch but in back loop.

After this, I continued increasing by making 4 single crochet and and increase in the next stitch till I was done with the row. I increased in the next row as well and then I started making just regular rows of single crochet, no increase. I did this for about 10 rows to get the desired height if the vase and then I started decreasing just to get that figure I wanted.

I decreased from 1 to 6 and then I started making the large ruffle edge for the top of vase. I increased after 11 stitches in the first row and second row. I then increases after 6 stitches in the third row and then I made two regular rows of single crochet, no increase or decrease.

For the flowers, I wrapped the broomsticks with the yarn and then I made the sepals. For the petals, I wanted them large so I made 46 chains and then half double crochet across it. I then make upside down triangular spaces on that row and then I filled the spaces with 7 double crochets.

I now moved on to the sepals, and I made a star figure, with a magic ring, and then 7 chains, skipped the first stitch and slip stitched the second one, then I made a half double crochet, two double crochet and a treble crochet.I then attached all the parts to the wrapped broomstick and I was done with the flowers.
