Roses are red, violets are blue.

Flowers are one of the most beautiful things in the world. Do you wonder where bees get their sweet honey from? They get their sweet honey from flower nectars. That's just one of the beauty of nature. If honey obtained from flowers could be that sweet, then I guess if flowers could taste, apart from looks then they should be sweet too.

I have loved to be around nature since when I was a child. I remember a time when we were asked to get a hibiscus flower for an assignment when I was in primary school. So this gave me the chance to visit a gardener whom I have always stared at his flower garden from a distance. The flowers are always so lovely when you see them from a distance.

We got there and I explored. I was so happy. I got the hibiscus flower for free. I couldn’t express how happy I was then. Took it to school the next day. The funniest and happiest moment was when no one could get the flower in my class except for me. Our class teacher praised and applauded me. My hibiscus flower was used for the practical assignment.

Flowers are seasonal. They are not all year round. There are times when they bloom, and glow and there are times when they wither away. The peak of its beauty is when the gloom.

I have never received a flower gift before. But I have given one 😂.
It was a fun time when we were in our final year. We went to the farm for some practical work. The day's work was not that much so we were able to round up on time.

On our way home there was this plant that had a beautiful flower on it. I had seen it there for some time, but I didn’t get closer to it. After the farm that day, since there was time for me to do other things I quickly went there to see the plant. It was not an edible one though.

I cut a few of its flowers and wrapped them together with a rubber. I held it behind me till I got close to a lady I have always admired in my department but didn’t express myself to her. She saw me as a friend and I reciprocated the same energy to her too.

Stylishly while we were conversing about a movie, I just staged the way the actor presented the actress the flower in the movie to her. Wow! Come and see her smiling so brightly. She was surprised I could do such a thing. But it was all a joke. Little did she know that it came from my heart.

She collected the flowers and held them till she got to her hostel. I knew she cherished it.

What are flowers for?

Flowers symbolize a lot of things and could give meaning to different scenarios. There was a movie I watched recently where an actor gifted his client a flower. The flower had a black color on it. Immediately after the client got the flower, he knew that something was coming. There was a reason for the black flower present.

He sensed as fast as possible that black flowers symbolize mystery and bad omen. With that, he was able to do the needful at the right time and that saved his life.

If it were to be another flower too. They all have their symbol and importance, some flowers like violets flowers with their sweet fragrance symbolize modesty, humility, innocence, passion, faith, and sovereignty. While the red rose flower symbolizes love, beauty, courage, and purity.

May is known to be the month of flowers 🌸 🌺. So it's one of the best times to give flower gifts to your families and loved ones. And also an amazing period to explore the beauty of nature through flowers and their sweet fragrances.
