Monday to Thursday…

MON - THURS

As a farmer, I have been living my days almost the same way. I have been having things my way. I don't know how it will happen, but every day I wake I find myself going through almost the same routine all day.

There was a time when I didn't even know what the day was. All my thoughts were that we are not yet close to the weekend maybe we are on a Wednesday or Tuesday. Not until you realize it is time to pray our Friday prayers. That’s when I knew it was Friday. Sometimes the reason I get to know what the day was is because of some specific events like Sunday when Christians go to church services and some others.

Working as a farmer has required my full-time attention and it's also a full-time job. It's not easy taking part time farming. So from Monday to Sunday, I am always on the job. Except for when there is nothing to attend to on the farm then I can take a break or vacation for some time.

About the topic to be discussed, I have also worked as a teacher before and this was a job I had to do from monday to Fridays. I found it so stressful at the beginning, but gradually with time, I began to adjust my ways towards the work schedule and pattern.

Of all the working days of the week, the days I have to be my favorite are Mondays and Fridays. The reason why I love Mondays is that there is just some kind of energy it brings on that day. Everyone believes it is a nice day to start well, everyone dresses so well and is active to work on that day. It's also like a day when you get to reunite with others even after the weekend break.

Friday is my favorite because it's just a day when we are getting ourselves prepared for the weekend after a whole week of stress. And it's always cool to have a short time at times because the closing hours come so early. Another lovely thing about Fridays is the fact that you can dress native to your workplace.

But what about we have Monday to Thursday?

I really would also love the four days a week working time, at least Friday already has it short because of the nature of the day. So if it should be possible that Fridays are exempted from the working days then it would be a good relief and also likely to compensate for the long working hours of other days.

It's kinda of funny that there are even some companies or some workplaces where workers and staff even get to report to work on Saturdays too. So I see the idea of working from Monday to Thursday as something less visible to happen anytime soon.

This is my response to the HIVE LEARNERS weekly prompt in hive learners community for the Week 124 Edition 3 and the topic to be discussed is FOUR DAYS WORK WEEK

So I am the only one who doesn't love Monday, lol. Just like you, Fridays are equally my favorite days because they prepare is for the weekend and the excitements that comes with it. Monday to Thursday is lovely by me too but some company bosses are not smiling, lol

Yeah they will overwork their workers and make sure they pay for the break they took. Common leave is a problem. 😂. And I don’t blame them too. They will have to pay their workers even at times of profit and loss.

Reporting to work on Saturday or Sunday is what I don't even like at all. I'm just a trader, but having my husband with me over the weekend is better.
Anyways, you might take that Monday as a day of agility, but most people saw it to be a stressful day.

Farming is one hectic job, but at least you’re your own boss. I want to be like you when I grow up.🤭
