The hypnotizing power of golfeado [ENG - ESP]

Golfeado is one of the things I like to prepare and eat the most. I don't miss any opportunity to include it among the special things we prepare when people visit us at home, such as those who come infrequently or from far away.

One of the fans of the homemade golfeado we make is my niece. On one such occasion I prepared 24 pieces. And after plating it, it was time for photo documentation, along with the cup of hot chocolate. But she was impressed by the specimen that I took out of the tray to serve as a sample. She said to me: "Uncle, how big they are!" It was evident that she already wanted to eat hers, as seen in the photos. She knew I would take pictures of the golfeado, but she didn't want to move away from the counter, and didn't seem to realize that she would be in all the pictures. Obviously, I didn't cut off her excitement, so I shot regardless of what she would be in the frame.

Although the intention was to document that occasion with my friends and family, the result just shows the powerful mesmerizing influence that these delicious wheat flour-based foods have. Not only do the children's minds fall, because I had a face similar to hers.

El golfeado es una de las cosas que más me gusta preparar y comer. No desaprovecho ninguna oportunidad para incluirlo entre las cosas especiales que preparamos cuando nos visitan personas a nuestro hogar, como aquellas que vienen con poca frecuencia o desde muy lejos.

Una de las fans del golfeado casero que hacemos es mi sobrina. En una de esas ocasiones preparé 24 piezas. Y luego de emplatarlo, llegó el momento de la documentación fotográfica, junto a la taza de chocolate caliente. Pero ella quedó impactada por el ejemplar que extraje de la bandeja para sirviera de muestra. Me decía: "¡Tío, que grandotes están!" Era evidente que ya quería comerse los suyos, tal como se ve en las fotos. Ella sabía que le tomaría fotos al golfeado, pero ella no se quiso alejar del mesón, y como que no se daba cuenta de que saldría en todas las fotos. Obviamente, no le corté la emoción, así que disparé sin importar de que saldría en el encuadre.

Aunque la intención era documentar esa ocasión junto a mis amigos y familia, el resultado sólo muestra la poderosa influencia hipnotizante que tiene estos deliciosos alimentos con base a harina de trigo. No solamente caen la mente de los niños, porque yo tenía un rostro parecido al de ella.
