Anh Co's snack Shop
Anh Co's snack eatery is a delightful culinary destination named after its owner, Mr.Co. This snack shop has a diverse menu, with many delicious dishes that will make you want to order a lot of dishes. As someone who has grown weary of fried foods due to their excessive oiliness, leaving me feeling bloated, I yearned for something refreshing yet satisfying. And Anh Co's eatery proved to be the perfect solution.
Walking into the establishment, I was immediately drawn to its vibrant and eclectic ambiance. The decoration style is similar to many other Vietnamese-style snack shops, decorated with many colorful drawings on the walls. Each dining table has a wall with its own painting, with a colorful and detailed design.
The seating arrangements at Anh Co's eatery offered two options for patrons: low tables with floor seating for a cozy, casual dining experience, and high tables with chairs for those seeking a more traditional setting.
No matter how you choose to sit, your meal will still be complete with delicious dishes.
Now, let's dive into the culinary experience.
I dined alone during lunchtime, so I opted for a bowl of jackfruit yogurt, 5 rolls of pho rolls, and 5 sticks of breadsticks. The jackfruit yogurt consisted of yogurt, shredded jackfruit, coconut jelly, grass jelly, and dried coconut.
They served a separate bowl of ice and yogurt, which I appreciated because it allowed me to customize the amount of ice to my liking. Some restaurants often serve excessive ice at the bottom and top it with a small portion of yogurt. To enjoy this jackfruit yogurt dish fully, you need to mix all the ingredients together thoroughly. The sensation is wonderfully refreshing, sweet, and cool.
I had the pleasure of indulging in a culinary masterpiece: pho rolls filled with beef and Lettuce leaves. Pho roll - this is one of the famous dishes around the world, often praised as the soul of Vietnamese cuisine. This dish is not only beautiful but also very delicious and healthy.
The pho rolls at Anh Co's eatery were nothing short of extraordinary. Each roll featured tender beef, sautéed to perfection and delicately wrapped in fresh basil leaves, all snugly encased within a layer of pho noodle. The perfect combination of tender beef, cool green lettuce, and a thick, smooth piece of pho.
What truly elevated the pho rolls to another level was the dipping sauce. A tangy, sweet, and slightly spicy fish sauce concoction provided the perfect accompaniment to the rolls. The crispy taste of the lettuce, the rich fatty taste of the beef, the pleasant taste of pho combined with the sweet, sour, spicy and salty flavor of the dipping sauce create a delicious dish that impresses right from the first bite. This dish meets all the health criteria, is high in fiber, fat and protein but does not have too many calories. Having sampled the famed bread sticks of Hai Phong City during lunch today, I must say I was thoroughly impressed.
Each bread stick was long and slender, yet bursting with a savory filling of ground meat cooked to perfection with onion and liver.
Despite their diminutive size, just five pieces of these bread sticks were enough to leave me feeling pleasantly full. These bread, despite their small size, were irresistibly delicious. The bread was dipped in chili sauce, and each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors, with the tender meat and fragrant onions perfectly complementing the crispy outside of the bread. This dish has become a specialty that anyone who comes to Hai Phong buys this cake as a gift for relatives and friends. Some other dishes on the menu: chicken wings, sausages, potatoes, fried sweet potatoes. Korean spicy noodles, pan breads, milk teas, mixed rice, etc. Student prices start from only $1 for 1 dish.
