Always There, Always Guide my Children for their betterment

Being a parent is totally a different stage of life which I am experiencing now. My past four years, since I became a father, I am trying my best to educate my children and foster their overall well-being in every way possible but still I feel that I am not perfect and do mistakes in taking some decisions in which I still have to discuss and take advise from my Parents or Elder Brothers. No matter how old you become, you still need to take advises from elders in decision making.

Let me just take my example, the way my Parents brought me up is highly appreciable but I am not the same kid I used to be 10-15 years back, I have changed a lot. My way of living and way of thinking or even point of views are totally changed. However, I still remember the key words and basic features of life which are necessary to be a good human being. This is the main essence of life which I also wanted to inject in my kids. We used to say that we have democracy in our family which means each and every member of our family has a right to share and do whatever he wants to do but within the limits.

The common question people ask to a father is what you want your kids to be when grown up, in what field you will put your kids. My answer is so simple that I want my kids to be a good human being, that’s all. They are free to choose any occupation or field or culture or whatever they want but being a responsible and caring human being is what I wanted from them.

Growing up a child is a very responsible job to do. The things which we seems and take very lightly in upbringing of a child can turn out to be a big mistake which can entirely change the minds of children and it do affects the thinking of a child. What we talk and how we talk, the topics we use to talk about in front of our kids, the fights we do and even making of faces, each and every action was copied by our children and at this early age of the kids, they start building their own minds by watching the world around them. I am dragging this topic because this is the main reason kids when grew up change their way of life or whatever they disliked or liked in their childhood, they do vice-versa.

Honestly speaking, I would not be happy if my child wants to change his religion or culture when grow up. But if in case it would happen, then my first priority would be to discuss and guide them properly so they would be able to take the best decision. I just cannot leave my kids with whatever they do, in fact no parents would do that but watching your kids happy and satisfied with their lives is the best part of a parent life. We cannot forcefully make a grown up kid do what we want but if he wants a change, we can guide and support him as a good companion or a friend. Teaching of a parent never stops even when you become too old but you will still be a kid to your parents.

I think each and every one of us have a different mindset and way of thinking so same goes to our kids as well. I am blessed with two sons and they both are totally different. I am sure that they both will change and choose different paths in their lives so I am trying my best along with my wife and other family members to ensure that our kids do get best school of thoughts and etiquettes and learning and it all starts from home. Beliefs and values needs to be carry forward the same way and when they grow up and wants to change their way of life, these beliefs and values should reflect in their thoughts and feelings. No matter what they want to be, I will always be there to guide and support them for their betterment and successful life.

Taking advice is indeed one of the greatest way to bring forth a good family because you'll always get to correct yourself and make wiser decision...no one knows it all

Becoming a better human being surely supersedes whatever occupation they chose...
You're doing wonderful with your family, I do wish you well and pray your children never depart from your morals you're inculcating in them

I must say, you have a really beautiful family.😅

Your kids will always be your kids even when they are older. The best you can do for your kids a parent is to stand by them and make sure they’re doing the right thing.

Thanks for sharing.
